I've noticed that my car's ride has become extremely rough these past few weeks so last Monday I went to have a mechanic check on the shock absorbers. All the while I thought it was the front shocks that had to be replaced but it turns out that only the rear shocks were damaged so the ff were done to my car:

REAR Left and Right: Replace with KYB Excel G Gas Type Shocks.
FRONT Left/Driver's side: Replace Shock Mount and Shock Boot.
    FRONT Right: Replace Shock Boot

Today is just the second time for me to use my car ever since the shocks was worked on. I have noticed that my car's ride became more rough especially on the front. My friend who always rides with me and was sitting in front also noticed that the ride became worst. (I drive alone 80% of the time so I cannot compare with the ride from the rear side). I am more concern with the front since I easily get dizzy from rough rides.

I was just wondering if it's possible for the mechanic to wrongly install the shocks? This is the same mechanic who replaced my water pump and forgot to reinstall the pulley and made adjustments to my car making the gas pedal stiff/stuck from time to time. (Gas Pedal problem was already fixed in another shop). I am just frustrated 'coz howcome the ride even got worse? Then maybe I was better off not having it fixed in the first place

    1. Find a better mechanic, mahirap pagkatiwalaan ang mekanikong hindi sigurado sa gawain niya.

    2. Shocks can't be installed reverse unless universal type siya. I believe your front shocks are struts while the rears have independent shocks (as opposed to the strut assembly of the front).

    3. It's possible you have too much air in your tires - did you have your tire pressure increased lately?

    4. KYB's are stiff shocks from my experience...

30 is fine, but some gauges are not calibrated. Happened to me, compared two gauges and obviously one read 5psi higher. That made it bouncy despite the seemingly "correct" reading.

do you know kung gas type din yun inalis na rear shocks mo? baka fluid sya before; gas shocks gives a rougher ride than fluid types kasi.
