March 10th, 2016 04:37 PM #1Just sharing my new tool.
The Brake Fluid Tester is powered by 1pc AAA battery. Small, lightweight, portable and very simple to use. Press the power button on top to turn on the tool. Dip the test probes into the brake fluid. The LED indicators will light up immediately to indicate amount of moisture in the brake fluid.
Green = 0% (No water detected)
Green/Yellow = <1%
Green/Yellow/Yellow = 2%
Green/Yellow/Yellow/Red = 3% (Recommended to change brake fluid)
Green/Yellow/Yellow/Red/Red = >4% (Change brake fluid immediately)
The tool will Auto Power Off after about 10 seconds.
I can think of two ways that this tool can save you money. (1) It can prevent changing the brake fluid too early; thereby maximizing the useful life of your brake fluid. (2) It can prevent changing the brake fluid too late; thereby preventing vehicular accidents and damages.

March 10th, 2016 04:52 PM #3How much does this cost? Baka di naman cost effective
As far as I remember, around >200 lang ang over-the counter brake fluid for 1 liter from Prestone, National, Petron, etc and it would be enough on a regular-sized car I think.
Priced at ow el eks for 1500, it would be better kahit annually ka mag change ng brake fluid

March 10th, 2016 07:20 PM #5I think you can tell if the fluid is good or bad by just looking inside the cup.

March 10th, 2016 07:29 PM #6The tool will pay for itself eventually. Lalo if you own several vehicles. I purchased it to know the current quality of my brake fluids so no need for me to guess if ok pa ba sila or hindi na.
P590 ang bili ko for 3 bottles of Toyota brake fluid, 3 x 12 oz (354 ml). Plus labor fee sa suking talyer.
