Cheap tire na madali mapudpod but so far yan ginagamit ng mga GT express vans dito sa amin kasi nga mura. Hindi naman nababalita na pumuputok or nagkakabukol but madali mapudpod. For a light vehicle na hindi naman performance car puwede na din siguro.

    Won't buy one though.

I just keep wondering lately what makes those Taiwan, China and Indonesian tire brands cheaper then the usual tires we know from before? Brand pricing? Quality of materials? R&D?

Place of manufacture or labor probably isnt really much since the big brands also have manufacturing facilities in similar places.

When i was shopping the other week for tires to put on the rims i got for my daily drive, the price range of the tire size i was looking for (215/50R17) ranged from 3K+ for the China/Indonesian brands to 8K for the premium brands. I settled for the bukol notorious Dunlop's at 5.5K per pop because i couldnt find Kumho Ecstas in those size (retail at 6K+) while the Toyos were too pricey for the budget i had set, at 8K+ per tire. Goodyear, Yokohoma and Bridgestone did not have any stock of the size i wanted.

Runway yung rear tyres ng L200 namin. I've run it through Tanay and while it reaches the limits of grip pretty early, it doesn't snap away dangerously. Durability wise, the tires are over 3 years old and only now has it reached its 20% tread life. Sira odo nung truck but from my estimates it's been roughly 60,000 KM.

4 times a week driving from paranaque to makati.

Malalaman natin in a few years :D

Only reason we changed our Michelin Latitudes was because the rubber was already becoming slippery. The tread blocks themselves were still far away from the wear-indicator bars.

I'm in the market for a new set of tires.

Unfortunately 235/50R18 ang hanap ko kaya ginto ang prices, but kumho is the cheapest on the list. Alin sa mga to ang maganda?

    1. Kumho Ecsta SPT
    2. Kumho Ecsta X3
    3. Bridgestone Adrenalin Potenza RE001
    4. Michelin Pilot Preceda
    5. Yokohama Advan S.T.

Alam ko cheaper than japan made ang yoko. Kumho ay korean made. Hindi ko lang alam which one is cheaper among the 2.

I'm looking for a new 205/45 r17 tire for my jazz. What's a good tire brand? Nitto was suggested but it's a little hard to find. Any info? What other brand to consider that's reliable but doesn't sacrifice comfort? Thanks!

Not sure about the size you need, nakabili ako ng Ecsta SPT last week sa S&R while they were having a sale, 205/55/16 yung akin, got it for 4.7k.
