your best option is to compare the ride with other cars using the same setup you have. you'll probably need a shock with better play. you may have to compromise between stability and softer ride.

If your car bounce more than once, replace your struts or shock in pair.

We all know a 40 series tire is not much of play dahil mababa, anyway it has nothing to do w/ your wheel(rim). Lowered car have limited travel the have left plus tire is 40 series are hard enought to make your car rough in ride. Kapag gumamit ka ng lowered spring, check the loops if the coil spring not touching each other na parang na-sandwich, at kung ganoon nga your spring is not strong (hard) enought to handle the weight of your car and you have risk of bottoming your car.

Remember that lowered car is for good highway not pot hole and rough road.

Explain complete. Complete is springs and shocks, not springs and strut bars. The Tanabe DF is just lowering springs, right? If you're on stock shocks, they don't have enough damer control to smooth out the ride of the springs, whicch will make your car bouncy. Go out and buy a good set of shock absorbers (preferably much stiffer than stock)... your car will still ride hard, but the stronger shocks will smooth out the harshness of the ride and keep your tires planted.

If you don't want to buy shocks now... well, wait another year or so, and your busted stock shocks will force you to buy, anyway...

Find out what kind. Kung generic gas shocks lang, they might not last long with the lowering springs...

Or, it's quite possible that it's really because of the 17" wheels... unless the ride was better before on the same set-up.

talagang matigas ang tama niyan sa lubak, specially pag naka low profile tires ka. a 205/40R17 tire is a low profile tire, natural lang na magiging stiff ang ride mo since na mababa ang sidewall mo. kahit mag palit ka pa ng suspension, magiging matagtag pa din ang ride mo. a plus 1 or plus 2 rims/tires will never ride as smooth as the stock one.

    aite, peace.

have the bumpstops cut. you're probably bottoming out sa lubak because they were not cut by the installer.

Bad springs or Bad wheels?
