Hi Brothers. I will be replacing two of my tires next next week when I go back to Manila. I will buy Kumho ECSTA SPT (195/55/r15). For those Kumho ECSTA SPT users, please share your experience and assessment on your tires' performance. Thanks a lot in advance...

    Ecsta SPT user here.

    Great grip and stylish.

Same size as you mentioned ( 195/55/15 )

    Cheap, too. ;)

Scale of 1-10, and 10 being the best. I would say mga 8.

Hello mga bros, where did you buy your tires? Is there a 195/60/15? I want to replace 2 of my rear tires on my Honday city. Is it okay if my rear tires are bigger than my front tires? Currently all of my tires are 195/50/15

Just bought last December, 195/50. Di hamak na mas matahimik kesa sa Dunlop LeMans 702 ko before. Only been using it for less than a month pero looks very promising. :D

Ako naman will stay away from Kumho.

Yong isa sa mga stock tires ng Santa Fe ko na Kumho Radial 798 Plus may bukol na and until now I am still waiting for replacement since I filed for warranty claim. 2 months na wala pa ding balita.

My SF is just a little over 3 years old and has an ODO of 47,000kms.
At medyo makapal pa nga ang thread ng gulong.

Then the one on my front is developing a bukol nanaman kasi nag start nanaman mag wiggle ung steering wheel ko. This was the symptom when Hyundai Erod detected na may bukol yong gulong ko sa harap 2 months back. Yong unang nagkabukol, ginawa ko na lang reserba ngayon.

Haayz. Pag nag pa 50k PMS ako, i-file ko uli ng warranty claim yong second tire.

Same here. Kaso more than a year bago bumukol so I'm thinking na baka nalubak lang ako (kahit wala akong natatandaang matindi-tinding lubak na nadaanan).

Mas maganda sana ang Kumho (215/60/16) compared sa dati kong goma (Potenza GIII 225/55/16) in terms of quietness and ride kaso nga nagka-bukol. Ang problema ko pa sa Potenza is mabilis maupod at mahal.

Not all Kumhos are created equal. Their passenger car tires are better than their truck tires and big tires. The Ecsta SPT is one of the best sports tires out there for your money now.

We have Kumhos on both our Crosswind and our CR-V. The Crosswind tires have 40k on them... not much wear. Just as durable as the Michelins we had before them... and I've driven these on rough roads, mind you. The Michelins cost over twice as much.

The CR-V tires are starting to hum, but that's only because they're oversized and rubbing. The performance on the CR-V tires is much better than the Bridgestones we had before them. Quieter, more grip, better high speed stability. And they're the same price.

Note that Kumhos used as "stock" tires are very cheap. Buy Kumhos that cost as much as the Japanese tires, and they're often better than Japanese tires in the same price range.

Also, it's important to always inflate your tires properly. Most of the time, "bukol" issues arise if the tire is not fully inflated when you hit a bump. I haven't had a single "bukol" in the past ten years (since I started checking inflation pressures regularly) and I've hit some potholes (after typhoons) really hard. Sometimes on "cheap" tires like Kumhos or even Federals or Gajah Tunggals. If you're underinflating to 28 psi for "comfort", then it's on your head...

The Ecsta SPTs are better than the EVOs. The new 595 SS is pretty good, though, but not as refined.

What's your sidewall? Kung 45 or so... medyo understandable... pero kahit 50 series, vulnerable din, since the Ecsta SPTs have a soft sidewall for ride comfort.

Currently on Advan Neova AD07s... super-resistant to sidewall damage, but they ride like rocks and cost a fortune.

60-series sidewall. Haaaaay, I guess you get what you paid for in this case.
