I would never let the dealership top coolant or windshield fluid up....DIY it. I've seen dealerships add tap countless times.[emoji20]

Thanks po sa reply sir.. worried lang talaga ako lalo na't first time to own.. I read na it will cause rust and corrosion.

Anytime, sir! I'm a bit OC, too. Tap has minerals that could cake w/ heat & time.

Grab what Subaru puts for the next top up. Note that different coolant brands come in different colors.

Be careful, use ONLY Subaru Long Life Coolant ... There are alternatives but you have to be well informed about different types of coolants and their composition ... Incompatible coolant type MIGHT damage some metals in the engine ...

The Forester is built on a unibody frame like a car unlike those PPVs which are built on a ladder frame like a pickup. The suspension setup is different between them.

You can stiffen or raise the suspension of a Forester with the proper use of springs and shocks or coilovers. Besides, why would you make the Forester ride like a PPV? One of the great advantages of CUVs is how it drives compared to pickup-platform vehicles and how its suspension is tuned makes that difference.

The Forester has good ground clearance, as good as most PPVs. If you want to make the Forester be much better off-road, then you can upgrade the shocks and springs, lift the body a bit, and change to off-road tires.

It will still handle better on twists and turns compared to those ladder frame vehicles.
