May offer na ako from a farmer bro. Tataniman daw ng kamote.

I might have to sell one of the rigs kasi isa lang parking sa bahay. Nahihiya na ako sa office at natutulog lang dun si fozzy. Healthy pala maglalakad lang. Marami kang makikita na hindi mo napansin pag naka kotse.

Heard the same news from an insider friend. Summer daw yung reveal but it won't sell until after June.

Rumored prices will be 2.5M for the base and 2.8M for the TOTL. Motor Image reportedly is not planning on doing a mid-range variant.

I guess Motor Image is gunning for the market of the CX9 and Explorer. The pricing is just about right.

It is official - Motor Image will be bringing the Ascent by Q3 of 2020. The model will be named Voltis for the local market.

Excited for this.... This would be nice for a family Cruiser with all the Tech goodies.
Supposed to get a Prado but changed mind upon hearing this Model would arrive.
Prado is bare bones, just the 4x4 heritage, and resale value of the diesel is better, Gas variant has no resale value at all. but feature-wise, cant compare the ascent with the prado.

Subaru Ascent displayed at Motor Image Pasig. The Philippines may be the first country in SEA to get the rebadged Ascent (Subaru Evoltis) and units may come directly from where it is built (Indiana, USA).

3.5M - this is around the same price as the Explorer. In the US, it does compete in that category.

Looks like a strong offering from Subaru to compete against the cx9, explorer, prado, etc.

    New explorer arriving in Q4.

Alternative way of thinking about cost would be to ask whether how much value it retains after 3, 5 or 10 years ... compared to just considering the upfront cost ...

I have seen the Ascent up close back in 2019. It is as big as the Pilot and the Explorer. However, on the power plant side, it does not pack much compared to the Explorer.

Motor Image should have priced it more like the CX9, within the 2.5M to 2.7M price range.

Nice thing is the FA24DIT getting more miles. Can't wait to see the new WRX and STI.

1 variant lang priced at 3.5M?
A bit too steep I guess. Agree that it should be priced like the C9 at 2.5 to 2.8 lang.

What does it offer to be priced like the Explorer? The Ascent is more like the CX9 AWD. The Explorer is bigger and with a very potent turbo V6 engine.

The last Honda Pilot sold locally failed in sales as it was priced over 3M. It was even more expensive than the Explorer back then.

Buyers of these vehicles don’t skimp on fuel as they know what they are buying. If they have to spend that amount of money, they need to know they get the most out of their money.

Will probably end up like the Subaru Tribeca at that price. I've only ever seen 1 in existence. CX-9s are much more common.

The Tribeca was ugly and it was not priced that much. It was like a van of sorts, not the 7-seater midsize SUV.
