Heres my take on my K&N filter. With regards on my previous comments about this filter and after using it for i guess 5 days now, I now have a conclusion.

I just got home just this morning coming from QC down to Pque. since this was my 1st long drive and since there was little to no traffic i got the chance to really test it. stretched its wheels alil bit. but after i got home I still cant find the difference from the stock filter vs the K&N.

Maski medyo pagod at antok na ako ng konti sa pag mamaneho hindi parin ako mapakali. kasi parang merong improvement kaso di ko masabi kung asan ba siya o ano ba talaga siya.

So what i did was i re-installed my old filter so that i can really compare it. I drove around the village. drove it in a casual way and in a heavy footed way.

after that went home again and replaced it with the K&N. took the same route and same driving habit.

    These are my findings:

*stock filter- it seems that it has the torque. kasi from 1.8-2k RPM * 2nd-3rd gear ramdam mo mag kick yung turbo pero from 2K rpm to 3K RPM same gears sakto yung increase niya with regards sa speed. di ganoon ka bilis umangat yung RPM. di agad na gagalit yung engine.

*K&N filter- Found out it has the same torque as the stock filter if not a tad more. the reason i think(psychologically) that it lost some torque was because once you floor it, it quickly reached 3,000RPM from all gears. so galit agad yung makina ( you guys know the sound of your engine once its in 3,000RPM) pero at that point nasa kalagitnaan ka palang ng speed mo for that said gear pero compared sa stock mas mabilis mo din maabot yung speed mo for the given gear.

    say for example:
-sa stock filter, sa 2nd gear sagad mo 60kph before you shift to 3rd gear.maririning mo na halos galit na yung makina * 50kph.

-sa K&N at 40-45KPH galit na agad siya kasi nasa 3,000 RPM na agad siya and it can go upto 3.5-4,000 RPM depende nalang talaga sa apak mo. so parang feeling mo ubos na agad yung gears mo pero it will keep on going until ma reach niya yung 60kph which is mas mabilis mo din naman maabot compared sa stock. something like that.

I am now contented with my K&N drop in filter. the reason bakit ganun yung feel(nagagalit agad yung engine) is because it is less restrictive kaya ang bilis umangat ng RPM giving you more power. reason kung bakit di ko gaano na halata nung una is because halos bago pa yung filter ko at di pa ganoon ka clog but then again even if it was almost new, changing to a K&N filter really makes a difference specially when your overtaking. mas magaang yung takbo niya.

Is it worth it? For me medyo na impulse buy ako.

Its worth it kung heavy footed driver ka, ramdam mo talaga specially when over taking no questions asked kuha ka na ng Isa.

Kung may extra cash ka din why not?

Not worth it if you drive like only 60-80kph max and your a laid back driver and doesnt use the entire rpm range. since the increase in power is not that much though noticeable.

    Conclusion:
if your unit is still new i guess wag na muna. pero kung sa susunod na PMS mo eh required na mag palit ng stock filter, i guess this will be a good time to buy the K&N. for sure you will really feel the difference!

regarding FC, hehehe sa tingin ko sa mga unang lingo lalakas talaga kasi hahataw ka ng hahataw. pero after you get used to it i guess medyo titipid ka pa ng konti.

Pasensya sa long read. medyo naging novela na. guys this are all just my personal experience.

thanks and sana naka tulong kahit papaano sa mga gusto mag upgrade ng drop in filter.

Hehehe Bos Arvin sensya na at mukang na paisip ko kayo sa mga previous post ko.

    time to sleep.

    nice one doc!!
