Strada PMS thread [continued]

Good pm sirs,

I'm about to have my new strada (4x2at glx/v) serviced (1000kms) asking for advise..
1. What would be the best oil to use (value for money) based on some of the threads I'm thinking of going fully synthetic ?
2. Got the unit in diamond Valle verde (c5) ok ba service dun ? Is it necessary to have it serviced there ?

First time kasi to buy brand new car and the strada got my nod .. So want to take care of it from the beginning.. Hehe thanks in advanced for your help..

hmmm... reagrding valle verde.
sabi nga don sa kabilang thread (2010 Mitsubishi Strada) kahapon, madaming magandang feedbacks don.
don din ako nagpapaservice. to be honest, cant really say kung may significant difference service nila.
they will allow you to bring your own oil though, that's a plus. and that is something to be said against sa ibang dealership.
well be sure na magdala ka ng pang libang, cause lam mo naman yung casa na yon. along c5. walang malapit na mapapuntahan like malls, etc. and mahirap mag commute.
it's advisable din na magpa appointment and to go early, para iwas hintay ng matagal/pila.
during my last pms, si mr ronnie hinanap kong SA. cause parati kong nababasa name niya dito sa tsikot

*gtq90 I will give my personal 2 cents input to you. I will respond to Q1 only since I'm from Davao.

fyi. I just had my 5,000km PMS yesterday. During my 1,oookm PMS (Mitsu OEM Mineral Oil) at 5,oookm PMS (TOP 1 Synthetic Diesel Oil). You can choose any of the semi or fully synthetic oil. All the brands have its best points but at the end you get to choose based on "value for money" and other things.

For your 1,oookm PM, just use the OEM Mineral oil. You decide to change when you get to 5,oookm PM.

P2,100/4L is about P525/L. I think so. It is about P650/L in Davao.

kung kailangan na ninyo mag papalit ng timing belts at 100k km, wag na kayo magtipid at dalhin na lang ninyo sa casa!!!! i just finished changing mine and it took me and my chief mechanic 3.5 days to disassemble and re assemble the engine.. and take note ayaw pa umandar yung makina dahil kailangan pa mag reset ng timing sequence yung bwiset na computer!!!! ang problema yung computer ng casa ang kaya mag reset ng timing ng valves and injector!!! hayyyyyy!!!!!! nakatipid nga ako sa piyesa and labor sa casa pa din ang bagsak para umandar... tapos ang busisi pa ng lintik dahil ang daming tubo, koryente, turnilyo, ets sa ibabaw ng valve cover!!! sus marya!!!!
next tie casa na lang ang mag papalit ng timing belt ko!!!!

Ask for discount at Pioneer Trade, they can give Motul CRDi specific at 500++. Anyway, Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck is still cheaper at 450 / liter.

how much were they selling it sir?

i believe it was 760pesos, good na din yung price if original usa but i didn't like the filter without the plastic wrap because any object can get inside the filter and you wouldn't know it until the damage has been done to your truck already should you use the BD726 filter...

Hello to all BOSBs,

Im a new Strada owner and wanted to be a member of TSCP unfortunately I can't find time to attend to the EB's. I've been back reading some of threads, lalo na tong PMS even before I acquired my unit.

So far, my unit is scheduled for 10km PMS this Saturday * Peak Motors in Roxas Blvd. Based from previously post, I am looking forward to use Shell Helix HX7 kaya lang may bago silang packaging as well as new viscosity ratings, as of today nakita ko na meron silang 5W40 (Diesel Plus) and 10W30, mas mahal yung Diesel Plus kesa dun sa 10W30. I read the label of 10W30 and found out that this is applicable for Petrol engines with Catalytic converters and intercooled direct injection Diesel engines.

Its a bit confusing lalo na if you consider the cost of the oils, syempre mas mura po kasi yung 10W30.

Any advise?

Sir, Saan po ba location nila? Now po kase I'm using Shell HX7 5w40, gumanda yung hatak ng truck ko and nabawasan yung noise ng engine. Laking pagbabago rather than using casa oil. Hanap na lang po kayo ng murang mabibilan ng oil kase hindi naman po pareparehas lahat ng price nila, depende pa din po sa location ng supplier. If you want to know the price po nung akin just pm me na lang po para maadvise ko sanyo.
