Laging Top1 na un mga truck namin from Castrol GTX at CRB. when i used this semi-syn naga-improve ng hatak un ride at lagyan mo pa ng 2T un fuel tank mag lessen ang noise ng engine.
hehe, pareho pala tayo ng experience.

Kaya very happy ako I knew about Tsikot eh.

I read on another thread about putting 2T on the fuel tank that will lessen the engine noise. Is this true or a myth? Has anyone tried it on their Strada?

This might damage your fuel injectors.

walter has a very good point, missing stuff into your fuel is not really advisable ESPECIALLY with common rail engines. the injectors are very fine, very very fine.. much smaller than the injectors oif the older engines which can tolerate fuel additives. oil, no matter how light it is is still oil, and it WILL damage your fuel delivery systems.

Before we get into a discussion of why 2T is added to motorcycle engines, please take note... gasoline engines po iyon at hindi diesel.

sure ang mga casa may nilalagay na fuel additives pag nag pa service ka sa kanila, pero that is a risk that you can take if you want to take it.

just my 10 centavos worth of opinion

Better for old school diesel engines but its worth a try in your CRDi engines naman as per dvldoc. been using it on the Paj and strada old school engine.

Case closed! No need to add those fuel additives..... but it is our personal choice that will matter.

    Hi mga sirs,
I'm off to my 1k PMS tomorrow, confirm ko lang sana, I can just use mineral oil first, then probably upgrade to synthetic on the next, right? any additional things that I may request being checked? so far, okay naman kc yung ride ko. I don't feel any thing strange, or kung matagtag mashado, I expected it that its a little more bumpy vs sedan, although I just notice pag gabi, na parang baliko ang ilaw, mas mataas yung right side beam. sign ba yun na uneven yung stance?
    thanks in advance.

maybe you should stick with mineral oil for the first 10K KM. then afterwards go with Synthetic.

Based on my experience, i've used Motul CRDI specific. other club members used Royal Purple, mobil. just make sure standard ang rating for Strada, please refer to your owners manual.

Diamond and Citimotors allows customers to bring in their own oil. best to tell us where you plan to get your PMS. some service advisor will deter you not to bring your own oil as this reduces the dealers sales/income.

*gpb77, sir av8or5 has answered your inquiry. Depending on the brand, price range of a synthetic oil is about 300 to 600 pesos per liter more than a mineral oil.

Synthetic has its advantages. It has value for your money in the long run. Try to read some previous comments to this thread, it would be helpful to your decision on which oil to use.

    Share lang po:

    10k pms
    7 Liters (Shell HX7 / 5w-40) = Php2,000
Casa (Regular Check Up) = Php4,000
    Total = Php6,000

Thank you very much po for sharing such helpful info. I plan to bring sa The Peak Motors sa Roxas Blvd. but I don't know yet if they allow the owners to bring their own oils. If ayaw nila then I will go to Diamond or Citimotors.

5K PMS coming up, tentatively by end of June. What is it gonna be? TOP 1 SDO or Shell Helix HX7/Diesel Plus?
