just changed my front brake pads.. 6K for the set from the casa... rip off talaga!! grabe, pero wala kasi ako time kumuha sa banawe eh... sabi ni mikko may nkuhanan daw siya dun na mura lang... the brand for the ad is tokiko, the oem brand for brakes.

don't bother with the bendix brand, sobra tigas, sisirain lang ang rotor ninyo.

Thanks Sir Arvin. So I'll just bring 9L of Motul oil. Just yesterday, there is already this ticking sound in my steering wheel as I turn it. Akala ko ligtas na ako sa issue na yun. Fortunately, I'm about to have my 5k km PMS. Hope the casa would be able resolve this issue as well as finish the PMS within one day.

sir me wear and tear original parts si sir KEN, hes from manila pero nasa davao ngayon... strada club member din siya..

4.8k yung brake pad sa kanya, since yung brakepad dito umaabot ng 7800, without labor pa..

yung oil filter naman from casa, i think more or less nasa 3k.. more than 300% ang price ng casa dito sa amin.

    tokico brake pad - 4.8k
oil filter from thailand - 750

    it's a big advantage for us .

question, we're due for the 1,000KMS check-up, and i want to ask if FULLY SYNTHETIC na ba talaga ang kailangan? tinawagan ko all three major dealers, lahat ganyan sinabi. kung hindi daw mag fully synthetic, warranty void na daw.

what kind of bull$h1+ is that?? sabi sakin, dahil daw turbo charged na, yung oil daw titigas, blah blah blah!! dami na namin nadaanan na 4D56, turbo and non turbo (L300, L200, starex, pajero), ngayon lang ako nakarinig ng ganyan. plus for a fact i know na fully syn is supposedly not recommended if your engine is new, para maka break-in properly.

kita ko rin sa previous posts ninyo na ordinary mineral oil lang ginamit. so bale if i follow what they say, lalabas mga earlier units released hindi pareho sa mga released this year? haha what a joke!!

Hey! How you guys doin? Just joined the Strada Club here in Cebu a couple of weeks ago thanks to sir Out. Kinda need some advice though because I'm almost hitting 5000km and would like to ask which is better, a top up or a full change oil? By the way had my oil changed last 1000km with turbo xp fully synthetic which is a sucky brand. Had no choice coz the casa here would void the warranty if their oil isn't used. Your thoughts guys! Thanks!

    had my 1,000kms done na.

600 per litre of the fully synthetic, and 213 for the mineral oil. ANY of the two can be used. No mention na rin of voiding the warranty if you use mineral, which was ridiculous in the first place. Even the bottle of mineral oil says "MEETS/EXCEEDS MITSUBISHI WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS".

Warning lang, yung VARSOL pala na nakikita ninyo sa item list, better to have that cancelled. Just saw it today that it's some sort of an engine wash, using a solution that contains KEROSENE. It's sprayed all over the engine bay, without covering your wipers and fender panels. Sure your engine bay will look shiny and new, but those rubber gaskets, hoses, wipers and parts will become brittle prematurely. Plus goodbye to the wax on the panels that were oversprayed by that.

I'm sure some may disagree with me on this, but:

I recommend those who will be doing their 1,000kms change oil to use mineral oil instead of fully synthetic oil. Why? This will allow the engine to break-in more properly. I'm not against the use of fully synthetic, in fact all of our other cars use fully synthetic MOTUL oils. But I only do so after the 10,000km mark. I'm not stating this based on gut feel, but I did some research before. If you can't wait, maybe you can switch to full synthetic at the 5,000kms interval. Hope this helps. Proper break-in dictates how your engine will perform and consume fuel for the rest of its life, up until it's overhauled.

welcome to the club sir, if your using fully synthetic, then top up will just be fine, but if you got extra cash, of course better to replace the oil, but top will certainly do.

Yikes!
