5000km checkup kahapon ng 2010 Strada GL namin. dinala ko sya sa Mitsubishi Balintawak since kakilala namin lahat ng staff dun e (dun nagOJT ate ko e hehe). inabot ng around Php2,500 yung nagastos namin. Free labor kasi meron kasamang 1000km ska 5000km coupon para sa labor yung booklet namin.

aside from the usual 5000km checkup, pinacheck ko din yung squeeky leaf springs. ginawa nila is nilagyan lang ng lubricant. nabasa ko sa mga strada threads dito, sakit pala talaga ng strada yung maingay na leaf springs. nawala naman yung squeeking sound kaso parang bumabalik ulit ngayon.

tinanong ko din sa SA namin yung mga ibang balak ko pa iupgrade sa truck namin kung makakavoid ba yun ng warranty. eto yung sagot nya:

busina - wag muna, baka mavoid warranty pag di maganda yung gawa
aftermarket air cleaner element - definitely will void warranty
car alarm - ok lang basta daw sa winterpine ako magpakabit

overall satisfied naman kami sa gawa nila. yung sa squeeking leaf springs, nabasa ko dito meron na palang silencer kit para dun? tanong ko next time sa SA namin yun..

if you will backread this topic, you can see there that we had almost the same issue... what my SA did was:
1st - replace set of U-Bolt for accrdng to them it has been over torqued which causes the bolt to mis-allign.
2nd - install silencer kit

after all the efforts to elliminate this issue on our trucks, still they were not succesful coz until now, meron parin. pero very minimal na.. WD-40 will do... if you will attend one of the clubs EB then maybe the GURU's can help you...

PS. No worries my friend, the squeaks would not affect the performance medyo maingay nga lang (lakasan mo na lang sounds mo)

i got to learn from a member from CEBU to try Singer Oil to lubricate the leafspring to minimize the noise. this flaw is really a bad engineering for the strada..well..its still a menace for sure..i am glad my ride doesnt have this problem.

Im due for my 1k PMS. And I called Diamond Motors Valle Verde for inquiry about bringing my own oil. Im planning to have Motul as suggested by some of the member here. But according to the service advisor I've talked to, bringing my own oil my be 15w-50 only. And asked kung pwede ba yun 15w-40, according to him mababang klase daw yun. Im wondering kung sa Diamond Marcos Highway kung pwede rin magdala ng sariling oil. Btw, ang Motul CRDI ba is 15w-40 or 15w-50? I've read na highly recommended ito.

Hi Pink Floyd, ive asked that too to my SA in West Gate and According to them, since we are still under warranty, only approved MMC oil should be used to our engines. any other oils would definitely void the warranty... ewan ko lang sa ibang branch kung pwede...

kung sinabi po nung SA nyo na mababang klase yung 15w-40....ibig sabihin mababang klase yung Turbo XP nila which also has a 15w-40 grade....hehe biruin nyo ng ganun sir....

the motul specific crdi engine oil has a 5w-40 grade which is significantly better than the ones that they used in the casa....so theres no reason that they would void the warranty just because you provided your own oil which has a better grade than the ones that they're marketing...

according to him, 15w-50 daw dapat ang gagamitin kasi ganun ang gamit nila. ewan ko ba sa kanila. pero sa Diamond Marcos Highway pwede daw pero nakashedule pa ako sa Saturday. Hindi ko naman alam kung available ako nun. What if kung mag xp na nga lang muna ako. Pero gusto ko sana ng Motul kasi madami akong nabasang magandang feedback with it.

sir..kasi po...additional income sa kanila ang mga parts and oil if mag PMS ang mga customers..so of course...they will say all of those things. just like what they want..gusto lahat synthetic oil..hindi daw pwede mineral oil... eh wala naman directive na ganun. it was already discussed sa strada thread regarding oils and all.

at bakit 50 weight ang sinasabi nila? eh ang lapot nun!!! ay sus naman!!! pag luma na sasakyan mo or talgang nasa design niya ang kumain ng langis, pwede ka na mag 50 weight... actually sa mga BMW namin na motor 50 weight ang oil na gamit namin, pero dahil nasa design na ng makina nila na kumain ng langis kasi

this is one of the advantages of being a club member... the members are given proper guidance and information regarding their vehicle... so that we can discern if the SAs are just giving us bull**** or otherwise they are just nincompoops trying hard to impart false infos to unwitting customers

actually sirs, got to talk to the service advisor of Diamond VV. as usual, keso mawala daw sa warranty etc... kung ibang oil daw gagamitin. what's the right approach? pwede ba ko pumunta dun na dala ang Motul oil ko then service sa kanila. baka kasi di ako payagan dun at masayang lang yung oil. past due na kasi ako for my 1k pms. kung sa Marcos Highway, scheduled ako sa Sat. Sa Union and Citi medyo malayo. kaya napili ko sa DM VV.

btw, baka meron kayo pwede recommend na SA na naka deal nyo regarding using other oil sa DM VV. any help will be appreciated! thanks in advance!
