kidding aside, madaming beses na kami nagdala ng sariling oil during our PMS... and they allowed it naman... they will just inform you that they have no responsibility for the quality of the oil you brought.

chief, just saw the pdf file comparison now, mukhang panalo nga itong royal purple ah. at least visually. and the price diff isn't that painful, almost negligible yata. is it readily available anywhere? if not, where did you source yours?

thanks mga bro, copy that, will give speedyfix a call and try to wangle with the diamond service manager kung makakalusot ang purple oil (excited to see it na, can't imagine oil being colored purple )

btw, is 15W-40 the only variant? or are there others to choose from depending on how what your PMS mileage is?

also, will it be advisable to stock up on oil now to beat any price increases, or may shelf life din siya?

I had my 5k PMS at Diamond Motors Valle Verde last Friday. Ayos ang service. Brought my Strada at 8:30pm and as promised, it was done at 2pm.

Thumbs up to Ronnie Cristobal ng Diamond Motors. Nag follow up pa after 5 days on how's my truck doin'. I brought 9 liters of Royal Purple at Speedyfix, sinoli pa ng Diamond Motors and sobra. They don't mind bringing their customer's oil as long as within the recommended range. 15W-40 and kinuha ko.

Unlike Union Motors Paco, 10 liters na, wala pang binalik. Nyeta sila. Dami pang sur charges, useless din ang binigay na P500 cheque discount.

9 liters of RP = P4,950
Service = P876

The truck stops better, they adjusted the brakes as well as the rest of the intended check up. But still, awhile ago lang, andun pa rin ang black smoke pag sudden accelaration. Ganun talaga yata ang diesel dito.

And the 3.2 engine is still noisy as usual. Nothing has changed.

ordinary yung black smoke kapag sudden acceleration then wala na agad... ang hindi normal is yung continued black smoke tulad nung ibang pick-ups.

for the engine noise, try mo pumunta in one of the EBs to compare your strada. baka normal lang yung sa iyo. or baka nasanay ka sa gas engines, maingay talaga ang diesel when you compare the two

Yes. Sudden accelaration nga lang. I'll visit your EBs as soon as time permits.

About the engine noise, there's Ford Everest in our parking area and our boy said, "Sir, maingay ho ang makina niyo kesa sa Everest."

Nung nagpark ang Everest, I listened to it, mas tahimik nga. When I was parking, I got out of the truck and listened...

BTW, I noticed the engine is now more responsive. You know, the gas pedal is a bit stiff when you press and the truck moves quickly. Before the 5K parang kulang sa hatak but it's enough for me.

Bottomline is, RP greatly improved the performance.

once upon a time... dealers were assigned a specific area for their market by MMPC (PAMCOR and Canlubang Automotive in yester-years- Tanda ko na!). Diamond was assigned an area in Manila while *arworld was assigned for Central Luzon... it is really up to the dealer to serve its customers the best way possible and i hope *arworld can improve as well as the other northern luzon dealers- fr**way motors and m**orpla*a...

Hello mga sir, i just wanna tell you how i appreciate this "PMS" thread. Im getting good inputs from you guys and what dealership i could go for a much better service.

Btw, i bought my glx unit also at union motors paco. felling ko lang medyo madami ngang hokus pokus na nangyayari. Just an experience i want to share, my plate number took 2 months before I got it (mey kasamang pangungulit pa yun). nanghihingi pa sa kin before ng 1.5K para lang daw mapabilis makuha yung license plate. anyway, that was past.

My unit is nearly at 5Km mileage, the 1st 1Km checkup was at union motor and based from your inputs, sa Diamond na po ako pupunta.

Ang lupit ng service! Tapos na agad pagkatapos ng 3 oras! Ako lang 'yung mabagal na kumuha kasi hinanap ako sa opisina hehe

AFAIK, its Doc Boz and Sir G01... they are on top of my head... simply PM them... i think sir G01 is simply lurking around the threads lately.

oil filter = 1043
varsol = 96
rags = 13

total 1152 + 4400 oil = 5552

good service naman sila, brought it in 7.30, started 8ish, was done around 9ish. bros from the east, look for nemecio marcos, better kung early morning ang appointment nyo and bring it in 30mins earlier to avoid waiting.

(thanks to bro boz for the speedyfix contact! sana may discount na rin strada club dun, mukhang marami-raming langis pa ang ating lalangisin heheh

btw, mas mahal ang turbo xp * 560 per L sa casa)

My 20k PMS is in #192 post of this thread. Although the price of the oil filter has dropped to more than half during my 25k PMS.

anyone tried changing their brake pads outside casa?

i have some problems with my new brake pads.... it's harder
when pressing the brakes and the response on my brakes are not good..

i've used BENDIX on my front brake pads , but for now will try to bring it back to casa and have it changed. For me to have a worry free travel...

just sharing... hehehehe

nismo, regarding replacing break pads, i do believe moxxx has already had his changed.... hirap talgs pag mga mahilig humataw talaga noh!!! hehehehe

when buying break pads, please try to avoid bendix for now, apparently the pads they are supplying are way too hard... masisiraa lang ang mga rotor natin niyan...

please keep in mind that the pads should be softer than the rotor... mahal at mahirap magpalit ng mga rotor....

i wil try to source a different brand for our pads. i'll check kung may equivalent na pads na ang "RICO brand"
