when to repack the front wheel bearings? tama ba?
thats my most concern when i have my Nissan eagle.
need advice, any other precaution? TIA
due to numerous complaints and emergency calls that i have received from members regarding the sudden lighting up of the check engine light indicator, here is what you have to do and look for, in case this happens to you.....
- warning lights up, depends on what the problem is you may or may not feel any difference in the engine response, but in the event that your engine suddenly looses it's power and you hear a very loud vacuum noise and vehicle speed will suddenly drop down to 15-20 kph.... don't fret...this is only the automatic engine safety feature, it will allow you to drive at a very very very slow pace but still with the loud noise. when this happens try to pull over.
- open your hood
- go to the right side of the engine compartment and look inside. during the day this will be easy, but at night get a flash light
- follow the rubber hose that starts from the air filter intake box that goes down into the bowels of the engine!!! hehehehehe ayy ooo nga pala, mag ingat at napaka init ng makina ha!!!! hayaan ninyo muna lumamig ng kaunti yung makina!! heheheheh
- the rubber hose will lead you to the intake of the turbo charger....
- if the loud vacuum sound accompanied the check engine light....100% of the time this hose has come undone from the tube/pipe that it is supposed to be clamped to...thus the loud annoying sound.
- check if the hose clamp is still attached, if it is still there, you can re attach it, all you need is a number 8 or 10 wrench.
- if the check engine light is up but there is no noise, still check this hose connection and re tighten/reposition the hose. there is most probably a leak from the clamp.
- go to where you had your last pms/servicing and curse the world out of the SA's and their service crew for a stupid job.
if there are any other questions regarding this, just fire away or give me a call.
happy driving!!!
What simple hose walang clam hehehehehehehehe galing mo talaga sir Arvin ..............
I just had my 1K PMS today at Diamond Motors Marcos Highway. Following is the breakdown of my expenses for our GLX:
Turbo XP Motor Oil (8 liters) - 4,000.00
Oil Filter - 828.00
Varsol - 85.27
Rags - 10.71
NET AMOUNT - 4,923.98
VAT (12%) - 590.88
TOTAL AMOUNT - Php 5,514.86
Have confirmed with the Service Manager that our next change of motor oil is at 10K PMS since what we used is Fully Synthetic. For our 5K PMS, we will just need a Top Up of about 1 liter of Fully Synthetic oil and a change of the oil filter. He also mentioned that with Fully Synthetic oil you may opt not to idle your engine (for a few minutes) before switching it off. It is because there is enough oil that sticks to the turbine that can protect it upon engine shut off.
So far, I was satisfied with the service I received at Diamond Motors in Marcos Highway. It was also good that they have a viewing deck so that you can see what they're doing to your unit. Pwede ka ring bumaba sa service area to talk to the service crew.
Let me share my 10K PMS (10,163 kms * 1yr7mos)

hello sir arvin cristi, san po ba shop nyo located? and your contact number? well,im planning to buy a STRADA GLX (by july) but my main problem is the PMS casa service, masyado mahal ehhh, yun kasi mga nababasa ko sa mga threads, regarding casa service for PMS... or may alam kayo what to do para maka mura naman pag due for PMS na yun strada? help me sir para naman as early ehhh may idea nako...![]()
twister, hi. i am sorry but if you're wondering if i have a car shop or talyer, i don't... i am in the line of heavy earthmoving and heavy construction. so basically i have the facilities and the manpower to do my own servicing and maintenance work. i sort of have an understanding with the casa regarding teh servicing that i do, basically put, what they can do i can usually do better except for when it comes to checking the engine computer hehehehehehe
i can recommend to you a branch of diamond motors where you can take your future strada. the service manager is a very good friend of mine and is frequently visited by other members upon my recommendation. but i don't think it would be fair for me to say who and which branch it is, as i only endorse members of the club to my friend. i do hope you understand.
okie sir Arvin Cristi thanks a lot, wish when the time comes eh maging member nyo nako, madami po ako natutunan dito, maraming thank you sa lahat po ng strada members...
sa mga nabasa ko lately ehh yun diamond marcos hi-way ang okay sa service,so siguro dun ko na lang kunin yun unit, intay pa po kasi approval ng bank...
thanks again for everybody, and more powers
GOD BLESS
