Ssangyong Actyon: Poor Man's CX7?

Hi, I am now nearing 10,000 KM eventually will need to undergo the 10k maintenance. I have already asked Ssangyong E. Rodriguez on the type of oil but no clear answer was given to me as to the brand or SAE specs used. Anyway I made a research on this and based on the manual of an Actyon Diesel the oil used should be MB 229.1 or MB 229.3, so whats the equivalent SAE code for this I just discovered that MB 229.1=SAE 10W40 and MB 229.3=SAE 5W40, just make sure to get the right oil for a GAS or a DIESEL engine since they both share the same SAE code. To identify if its a diesel oil look for this spec rating which starts like C or B, or both. Ex. CG-4, CH-4, CI-4/SL.

Well I'm planning on my next oil change to use my preferred oil and may not be done in CASA. I have read a lot about Royal Purple I might try the 10W40 fully synthetic.

My current Fuel consumption I am averaging 10 KM/L pure city driving, travelled area is Las Pinas, Coastal Road, Roxas, Intramuros, Pasay, Makati and back the same route. I also enjoy filling up especailly now a days diesel prices is much cheaper compared to gas by almost 3-4 pesos.
At macapagal its around 26~27 per liter diesel price.

Hirap maghanap ng gulong same as the factory installed sa Actyon. Got one busted dahil sa malaking piece of metal na bumaon at dahil sa laki ng puncture, di na kaya ng patching. Any advise san kaya makakabili ng kaparehas nito? Try ko sa secong hand tire shop baka kako may Actyon owner na nagpalit ng set of tire na pero wala din eh. Naka 2500 KM na Actyon namin at no dramas pa rin naman. Lakas pa rin ang hatak

Checked out HYBRID for some Actyon accessories. Maganda yong stepboard specifically made for Actyon imported from Korea kaya lang white color lang available at blue ang unit ko. Did 4100 KMS na and no problems or whatsoever pa rin naman. Max speed I did with my Actyon is 185 KPH sa SCTX with 5 adults onboard. Sarap ihataw

Why not get a same sized, different pero common na brand as reserve then yung reserve gamitin mo?

That's what I did. bumili n lang ibang brand na same ang size at similar and pattern. Di pwede and reserve since iba ang size at marked as an emergency spare lang talaga. Ito ang na discover ko sa Actyon na hindi maganda, spare tire specs is not the same as the actual running tires.

Ah, OK. Sana pala 2 na binili mo para reserba yung isang orig at parehas man lang front tires mo ...

Naka document yan sa owners manual on how to replace the aircon filter. Or you can download it sa Ssangyong website. Pabugahan nyo nang compressed air to remove all the dirt, can be done with any gas station for a small service fee like 20+ pesos only. It has two microfilter orig price is around php 1,900.
