ano po ang magandang multi-vitamins?
salamat.
ok din revicon, multivitamins you will be taking depending on your needs, read the label, if you need more vit a, then look for a pill that has more vitamin a=)
the vitamin we should take should conform with what our body needs, what we lack,in able to get an optimum efectivity of the vitamins
Generic lang gamit ko. Yung ibang branded parang overrated na, riding on the brand kumbaga.
Most vitamins will just be excreted with your urine in case you take too much of 'em.

tama otep excess excreted lng sa urine you'll know when your urine turns dark yellow
water soluble vitamins like Vit C are eliminated by the body if it is excessive. Pero fat soluble vitamins like A and E can be toxic at high doses. It can cause liver problems
ako good diet lang.. gastos lang pagbumili pa...may mg journals na nagcause ng cancer ...like ung vit E ...
just my comments in looking into the labels of your vitamin/mineral supplements...
generally, vit a is least needed unless you don't eat green, yellow or orange veggies. vit d is least needed unless you don't get under the sun or sa gabi ka lang lumalabas (vampire ka ba?!?), vit c can be produced by the body and is also very much available in fruits.
vit e availability is a little bit low from natural origin...supplementation is highly recommended but I would only suggest about 150 to 200mg per day per person (too much could be a problem - base on recent findings)....the same 150-200mg can do wonders already on your ***ual behavior (stamina improvement may need other support...but "quick-to-react" is already there! - also read as libido/libog)
vit b's (B complexes) will energize you...high levels will help burn/metabolize the energy from carbohydrates (rice, noodles)...so eto yung claims nila sa "extra power" or nagiging hyper active. Natural source yung ricewashings (yung puti na pulbos ng rice na naalis if you wash your rice until the water gets clear)....I highly recommend not the wash your bigas pag nagsaing ng kanin....when you place water in it, just remove the "floaters" na dumi but not the "white" eto po yung vit b's in the rice.
folic acid (technically is a b vitamin) is very good sa mga buntis (prevents congenital diseases too - hare-lip etc).
choline can help strenghten your colagen and litids and thus prevent pilays specially sa mga tumatanda.
try also looking into the trace mineral levels....in my on case, adding iron (I use hemarate - its actually for my wife but because of the iron i also take it) can do some wonders kung parati kang pagod or easy to get stressed out. You need the iron for proper blood function...don't go over 200mg per day per person...meron din toxicity ito and should be kept away from very young kids...pedeng pumatay ang high iron!
iodine is for proper goiter/thyroid function and very good for the development of the brain (iodize salt na naman ang lahat ng food grade salt - ASIN LAW mandate).
zinc can control some skin disorders (balakubak included)...excessive calcium in the diet will reduce zinc availability.
calcium is a macro mineral (needed in higher levels than the trace minerals) but since it is very common naturally, supplementation is not necessary unless you are not eating foods which are high in calcium....btw calcium is useless if you have low phosphorus intake din....1 to 2:1 and dapat na ratio ng Calcium to Phosphorus ideally...you need about 0.7-0.8% of your diet (dry weight basis) calcium daily...beyond this amount maapektohan na zinc availability.
PS. the above are my general opinions, it is highly recommended that you contact your dietician or even a doctor on nutrition to further know what is best for you.
shy away from synthetic sources as much as possible.
forgot to mention vit k...kung medyo prone ka sa sugat and matagal ito magstop bleeding, using vit k supplement is in order....sa mga "bleeders" pagnagpapabunot ng ipin, my dentist sis will usually recommend muna a week therapy (daily intake) of menadione (vit k) tablet before the operation. Milk is also naturally high in vit k.
this is not a joke...i take winnie the pooh gummies multi-vitamin. konting supplement lang naman kelangan ko eh, well-balanced diet na lang.
