my post in the other thread made mention about ***ual excitement in relation to erection. hence, the use of viagra is just nothing but an overkill...it's all in the brain.

there was one conversation of women when i happened to eavesdrop that viagra's claim isn't true. her hubby had been taking it to enhance his (churvah). but one night wife placed her ponstan sf near the untaken viagra. hubby took the ponstan instead but wife claimed that hubby yielded that same primal energy...he performed the way he did in the previous nights when he was taking viagra.

answering the primary question, i guess, it's not doping but it's use should be regulated. why should athletes need to increase cardiac activity when they're into physical strain already. cardiac overload yan, malamang. tigok.

    so di naman cguro totoo...IMO

    it's not doping.

    when it's doping, it's illegal.

in the case of viagra, it is supposedly a regulated drug. meaning this can only be dispensed when it's prescribed. its sale without prescription becomes illegal. for the consumer, he assumes the risk when he takes viagra without adequate prescription, but it's not doping.

there's doping when what has been passed is a prohibited article. then that's illegal.

legitimate use therefore may be looked into by knowing its classification.

    IMO lang po.

OT: i think may therapeutic effect talaga ang viagra for dysfunction especially for old people kasi kapag tumatanda ang tao maraming factors ang dahilan kaya nagkakaroon ng erectile dysfunction (e.g. Neurogenic Disorders, hormonal disorders, side-effects from some medications for other diseases, etc.). ung viagara, na may active constituent na Sildenafil citrate na nagpaparelease ng Nitric oxide (NO) na nagiincrease ng level ng cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) that may lead vasodilation ng helicine arteries kaya nakakadaan yung blood that may lead to erection.

pasensya na masyadong maraming technical terms. future pharmacist (pharmacy student) here.

may mga studies na yung viagra daw ay isang vasodilator (nag-oopen/ widening ng blood vessels) na nag-eenhance ng muscles, therefore naeenhance din yung performance especially for athlete.

^^ Hi, crave...the central nervous system controls all these.

Thus, the conclusion: it's all in the brain.

so when the brain isn't functioning well it causes one to lose his ability to maintain an erection. consequently, when the brain isn't stimulated to become excited, chances are, the blood flow won't be directed to the penis. relative impotency is a classic example, that is, when a man happens to maintain an erection during intimate moments with one woman and can't with another at some other time.

so when it's a vasodilator, then it enhances the blood flow. with good blood flow, it would follow that there is an increase volume of blood supply going to the cells, tissues, muscles. as we know the rbc component of the blood carries the so called HEME which is an O2 carrier. more O2 leads to greater endurance of an athlete...maybe that's what the study is trying to tell us?

    IMO lang...hehehe...

am no expert here...just logic from what i learned in school. hehehe

    +1

maybe, if the brain isn't stimulated to become excited.

but kung stimulated siya, pero "ayaw" talaga because of (for example) having a drug-drug interaction with the drug taken by the patient for other medication purposes, Sildenafil (Viagra) may help for the erection.

haay.... gagawin ko nga siya ng thesis pag nagka-thesis writing na kami...

    insert ko lang ha?

how about you start collateing medical and legal opinions now? you establish a correlation between relative impotency and pathophysiologic impotency...hehehe...then how this so called wonder drug works.

    OT na...
