Aren't the managers the ones who mishandle the fortunes of boxers?

Some yes, kasi nga mangmang kaya ginugulangan eh. Pero the good managers can really make a difference.

Gayweather wants Dela Joya in his next fight.

Baliw na ba ito? Last fight ni oscar 2008 pa, nung binugbog ni packy, & nag retire na after that.

Mayweather challenges Dela Joya in Sept fight

Floyd Mayweather Jr., has chosen a potential opponent for his final fight in September. He wants another fight with Oscar De La Hoya.

Yahoo’s Kevin Iole tweeted on Thursday (Manila time) that Mayweather will stake his 48-0 record against De La Hoya if the Golden Boy comes out of retirement.

“Oscar, if he wants to, we can rock and roll this September,” Mayweather told reporters.

Mayweather and De La Hoya fought in 2007 where Money won the bout and the WBC Light Middleweight title in one of the closest wins in his career when he settled for a split decision from the judges.

De La Hoya has not fought since Manny Pacquiao bludgeoned him to retirement in 2008.

i think there was a very short tmie where Correia was actually running away from her. Mukhang nasaktan dun sa pag knee, and the rest is history

One good thing about her very quick fights, there's virtually nothing for her opponents to record and study ^_^

On point there, sir badkuk. She's known for her Judo skills and ground game, but has significantly improved her striking. I really don't see anyone left to challenge her, unless Cyborg finally goes down to 135. After that, there's really no one else.

Then again, there's an open challenge to MoneyMay.

42yo na yung hinahamon nya. Nagretire nung 2008, nang bugbugin sya ni packy. So inactive na for 7 yrs.

Sana sa UFC lakihan na nila prize money, close to what the boxers receive. Mas ok bugbugan dito. Mas may excitement ang laban.

Pag ganyan sa boxing, mawawalan na gana mga tao. Pera-pera na lang talaga.

7/20/2015 1:29 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

    EXCLUSIVE

It's on ... Floyd Mayweather is officially set to square off with Andre Berto in September ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.

The two have been in talks for weeks ... but now we're told from both camps that it's a done deal and the two will fight in Vegas on September 12th.

We spoke with Berto who tells us, "It's a pleasure and honor to be in this position and I'm looking forward to capitalizing on every moment of it".

As we previously reported, there's some bad blood between the two -- with Berto claiming Mayweather had been crank calling his phone ... and he believes it was all over a woman.

Mayweather is 48-0. Berto is 33-3.

    Story developing ...

Damn Rousey. 11 out of 12 wins all in the first round. Just shows how far ahead she is vs all other fighters in her class.

Correia talked trash about her striking, so she made it a point to win with strikes. Am impressed na nakapagpigil siya ng sarili after Correia went down.

    this albert pagara is good--

Pagara brothers pull off contrasting wins in Dubai

    Inquirer. net, August 08, 2015 05:41am

DUBAI, U.A.E--Albert Pagara pulled off a sensational first round knockout victory over a hapless Jesus Rios of Mexico to keep his International Boxing Federation junior featherweight title in Dubai early Saturday (Manila time).

Pagara first downed Rios with a barrage of punches and then finished off the Mexican with another flurry barely two minutes into the headliner of Pinoy Pride 32: Duel in Dubai 2 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

His brotherJason Pagara, meanwhile, won by unanimous decision over Mexican Ramiro Alcaraz, 77-73, 76-74, 78-72.

The 10-round junior welterweight encounter was halted in the eighth round upon the advice of ring physician Dr. Nasser Cruz following another headbutt that bloodied Jason's left eyelid anew.

The Mexican was deducted a point each in the first round for accidental head butt that opened up the cut and again in the sixth for hitting after the bell has sounded.

Jason improved to 36-2, 22 knockouts while Alcaraz dropped to 15-5, 9 knockouts.

Veteran Jimrex Jaca survived a fourth round knockdown to beat tough Mexican Pablo Lugo Montiel via unanimous decision 78-73 twice and 77-74.

Jaca improved to 40-8-4, 22 knockouts while Montiel fell to 21-6, 17 KOs.

Dubai-based Filipino Larry Abarra scored a sensational 54-second first round knockout over Indonesian Tony Arema in their 122-pound showdown, a curtain raiser of the Pinoy Pride event here. CFC

maybe has something to do with 120 minutes limit on election candidates. 3 minutes x 10 rounds + 9 minutes in between rounds. then some media coverage before and after the fight. Pasok pa rin sa 120 minutes.
