is that a legitimate product by the land rover company, or is that the proverbial "famous name" company at work?

    like this.
guy walks in hole in the wall with advertising signage, "famous name stereos here".
    counterman: "boss, anong hanap natin?"
costumer: "gusto ko sony hi fi."
counterman (shouts to guy at the rear of the store), "sony daw!"
voice from rear of store: "ok!"
    plak!
then guy from rear walks over, holding item, "heto, boss! alalay lang sa etiketa, ha? sariwa pa rugby..."

    heh heh.

Pwede both. 2.0 has holes for the rack. Yes 1.0 has none. Pero nagtanong ako dati sa bike shop kung paano, kasi 1.0 akin. Dun daw sa butas na kinabitan ko ng mudguard. Pero di ako natuloy magpakabit. Hehe

Consumer watchdog warns against using faulty Dahon folding bicycles | The Japan Times

Dahon Horize Disc Shimano Altus 8-speed folding bicycle
Inspectors found that the rear frame of the model lacked proper welding in key areas. Specifically, there were no weld marks on the joining surfaces, and multiple gaps were discovered where the hinge area was not fully welded. Voids were also present between the weld bead and the frame.

Brompton profits plunge more than 99% amid bike industry turmoil | The Guardian

the dive in profits was primarily down to selling fewer bikes than planned amid “a really sad state of affairs” in the global bicycle market. The sector is awash with overstocks after overestimating demand since the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite the industry’s troubles, Butler-Adams said Brompton was protected by offering “more utilitarian” bicycles that people turned to for commuting. He remains optimistic about the industry’s long-term prospects as governments around the world recognise the importance of cycling for health and environmental reasons. Cities such as London, Manchester, Paris, Shenzhen, New York and Vancouver have been building infrastructure to encourage more cycling.
