Exactly, nabubuwisit ako sa mga yan. Mas okay naman yung eat healthy natural foods kesa yang processed na rin. Pera-pera na lang talaga eh.

And it is indeed misleading the public. In the end they will suffer more because at least in medication it is targeted for the particular disease not a shotgun approach which these supplements suggests.

actually those "no approved therapeutic claims" are put there so supplements won't compete with pharmaceutical drugs

pero kahit na meron disclaimer many people still buy supplements believing supplements can cure

    milk?

hindi dapat umiinom ng milk ang adults

sa animal kingdom pang baby lang ang milk

    milk triggers growth

babies need all the growth they can get but adults no longer need growth

    milk --> growth hormone

    what is cancer?

    cancer is cell growth

    cancer is uncontrolled cell division

Having experience with media, I am quite sure the reporter and the reseracher had a much longer interview. Unfortunately, due to the need to compress it, only the more sensational bits were left. A few weeks ago teh news said PHIVOLCS warned a M8 earthquake was coming in Surigao. What the news didn't explain was that the agency has always been monitoring the are because the trench facing it was capable of generating an earthquake that severe.

"no approved therapeutic claims" means, the item is not being marketed as a drug. it does not have to go thru rigorous testing, research and experimentation that regular medicines are required to go thru.
it is marketed as a food additive, whose legal requirements are so much more lighter than those required for drugs.
and if one reads carefully the etiketas or whatnots, the words "may", "might", and other vague, in-substantial lyrics, abound.

big pharma spends a lot of time & money on drug discovery and clinical trials to get a drug approved

so it's totally unfair to big pharma if supplement manufacturers can claim that their products can cure

so big pharma lobbied govt regulators to prohibit supplement manufacturers from making such claims

that's why meron disclaimer ang supplements

natutuwa ako sa pangyayari ito. Ngayon dadami na vinegar made from cocount, muscovado, pineapple.

At dapat kasi magbasa si consumer. Matagal ng acetic acid si datu puti, silver swan...etcetera.
