hi guys..ive been googling about paramedics in the philippines..and it seems na red cross lang ang nahahanap kong site.

may alam ba kayo where i can train as a paramedic?as in yung first aid...etc.

my friend told me na meron daw sa may vizayas ave...sa may sanville (?) ba daw yunbut he doesnt know the exact name and address.

or red cross na ba talaga?

    thanks in advance!

Red Cross talaga meron. Kasama sa trabaho nila iyan. Pati college level sa UST tinuturan nila ng BLS (basic life support). Ok na iyon. Though after you finish med school, dapat ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) certified ka na.

Galing kasi dun yung isa naming ER nurse.

Hindi din ako sure sa Fatima College. Tawagan mo na lang.

Balak mo bang pumasok sa emergency services?

    Ito na-Google ko: http://www.lifeline.com.ph/

    EMERGENCY TRAINING PROGRAMS

To share in the social responsibility of emergency preparedness, LIFELINE ARROWS provides different emergency training programs.
Basic courses for non-medical personnel, an Emergency Immersion program...registered nurses who wish to pursue a career in emergency nursing, are available.
I checked the site, isa sa mga doctors nila si Raymund C. Lazo, MD aka 'bulldog' dito sa Tsikot. The first DC.org president.

Ah ok. Pero nagstop muna to pursue becoming a registered nurse (RN).

If you want background in emergency medicine, ask mo na lang si Dr. Lazo kung kailan siya duty sa St. Luke's and ask if you can hang out with him.

You can try sa UST. Inquire ka sa Office for Graduate Medical Education (GME) kay Ma'am Cristy if they accept non-UST personells for ACLS (AFAIK, they do). 02-7313001 ang UST. Yung local number ng GME nasa I.D. ko (wala dito now).

Otherwise, Red Cross and Aeromed might be of help to you.

    balitaan kita thursday...

(Fire Emergency Paramedic Assistance Group yung FEPAG)
