Second-year center June Mar Fajardo has slowly emerged as a fan favorite for the Petron Blaze Boosters.
Underscoring this fact, the 6-foot-10 slotman is set to star in his first commercial, joining fellow Boosters Chris Lutz and Doug Kramer. The ad will also feature Kramer’s wife Cheska and volleyball star Gretchen Ho.
“OK lang, maganda,” was how Fajardo described the experience to News5.
Fajardo, who spent his collegiate career in Cebu before moving to Manila to pursue his professional dreams, still isn’t used to the bright lights.
“‘Di lang ako sanay humarap sa camera. Naiilang nga ako. Mas kinakabahan pa ako sa interview kaysa sa game,” he said.
Despite his first taste of commercials, Fajardo isn’t about to plunge into the showbiz world just yet.
“Nag-aantay lang naman ako kung ano’ng ibibigay sa akin,” said Fajardo about his endorsement opportunities. “‘Di naman ako nag-de-demand. Hindi ko muna iniisip yun, basketball lang muna ngayon.”
