^ former PBA player? So he is not coming back to the PBA o Tnt?
tama lang ang ginawang desisyon kesa naman sa PBA na hindi tataas o gaganda ang experience..
I'm all for aguilar's decision to pursue his NBA dream. Pag hinde siya nakuha pwede pa rin siya sa PBA.
He doesn't owe anyone here an explanation...career niya, buhay niya..
Ewan ko ba kasi Dito Sa pinas parang they own aguilar, Marami Lang inggit s
kanya Sa PBA, coz they don't have the goods to make it to at least D-league.
Either local bred players or fil ams...kaya nga Dito bagsak ng mga filams eh hinde umubra doon.
if we can support the US rejects filams and cheer for them here why can't we also do same thing to Aguilar who is a 100% pinoy?

Two more NBA teams interested in Aguilar
LOS ANGELES, California – Filipino basketball player Japeth Aguilar has been invited to a two-day workout for another National Basketball Association (NBA) team this weekend, his agent confirmed to ABS-CBN News.
Aguilar’s agent, Chris McGarry, said two NBA teams have contacted him about the 6-foot-9 Filipino forward.
One NBA team from the Eastern Conference will also have a workout with Aguilar this weekend.
The other NBA team, whom McGarry describes as “one of the top five teams in the league” and plays in the Western Conference, is still vetting Aguilar.
McGarry said the invitation for Aguilar to workout for that team should arrive shortly.
"We're very excited. This is very good for Japeth," said McGarry. "It means observations from try-outs and coaches ranging from the Bakersfield Jam, ex-NBA trainers and staff, are satisfied with what they see in Japeth."
"His athleticism, speed and what he brings on the court like hustle, rebound, blocks, professional approach to the game, desire to learn and coachability," he added.
The next couple of weeks will be very important for Aguilar as NBA training camps start in October, and teams are trying to fill the back end of their rosters. The NBA limit for training camp rosters is 20 players.
Two other NBA teams worked out Aguilar last week, but contrary to rumors, the former Ateneo Blue Eagles and Western Kentucky Hilltopper has not signed with any NBA team.
McGarry did not comment on the rumors but said there is no sense of urgency in their camp.
"We're not worried. It will take its own course," he said. "He's mentally and physically prepared for the tast at hand. He's in the best basketball shape of his life."
"He's upbeat and never been so excited in his life," McGarry said of Aguilar.
Aguilar was the number one pick in the 2009 PBA Rookie Draft. He split his time in the PBA with the Smart Gilas Pilipinas national team. His PBA contract expired earlier this year.

RIP Butch Maniego
Veteran sportscaster Butch Maniego passes away at 50
Veteran sportscaster and Philippine Basketball Association Developmental League director Butch Maniego signed off Sunday afternoon after a long battle with a kidney ailment. He was 50.
The PBA, in a post on its Twitter account Sunday night, sought prayers for the repose of Maniego's soul.
"Please pray for the eternal repose of the soul of PBA D-League Director Butch Maniego. RIP sir," it said.
Sports site SPIN.ph, where Maniego was a columnist, said Maniego still reported at the PBA office in Libis last Friday to finalize the game schedule for the new season of the PBA D-League.
Maniego had been the D-League's tournament supervisor since it started in 2010.
"(H)e made sure his work was finally done before his untimely death on Sunday afternoon," wrote Spin.ph's Gerry Ramos.
Maniego left the PBA in 1998 for the then newly launched rival Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA), which folded in 2002. He then served at the Philippine Basketball League as executive director until the PBL also ended in 2010.
