GENERAL SANTOS CITY -- So my countrymen would be happier.
Boxing hero Manny Pacquiao declared this as the main reason for his desire to hold his next fight in the country.
During a press conference after his rousing welcome here yesterday, the 27-year-old ring sensation, fresh off his explosive revenge win over Mexican great Erik Morales in Las Vegas last Jan. 21, said he’s not afraid to face anybody in the super featherweight division.
“Line them up,” he said. “I will fight them as long as our weights are the same.”
He also taunted reigning World Boxing Council super featherweight champion Marco Antonio Barrera.
“He’s afraid of me,” he said. “Now he wants to fight my brother Bobby.”
Pacquiao stopped Barrera in a non-title clash in 2003 in Texas.
Pacquiao last fought on local soil in December 2004, when he knocked out Thailand’s Fahsan 3K Battery in the fourth round at The Fort in Taguig City. Aquiles Z. Zonio, Inquirer Mindanao Bureau

ayaw na ni Barrera kay manny, gusto kay Bobby. Mukhang natakot nga.

siguro if ever na kakasahan nya si pacquiao, it's for the money na lang. Big bucks for sure!

in fairness to pacquiao, baka psywar ang gusto nya mangyari with barrera.
i think only barrera stands between him and the best pound for pound boxer in his weight class.
