    I saw their ads, they include Calvin Murphy, Sidney Moncrief, Daryll Dawkins, Otis Birdsong, and Alex English. Pero kakapusin 'tong mga legends kaya they are backed up by high-flying standouts from NBA Developmental League.

    I wonder...manonood kaya yung father ni Rodman which was featured na andito sa Pinas a few years back....

    Yung Calvin Murphy, isa sa mga NBA legends yan, nasa Hall of Fame na ata siya. Matanda pa yan kay Jawo....... He-he! Baka di na makahabol kay Helterbrand yan.

    Can Rodman save NBA tour?
    PDI, April 29

    AFTER great expectations, American promoter Mario Whitmire should brace for the worst in the NBA veterans tour headed by Bad Boy Dennis Rodman. Mario thought the project would ensure a rich box office, not to mention a successful marketing of the television coverage. He signed up a handful of former NBA stars giving each of them a downpayment of $10,000. The balance of $5,000 was to be paid later.

    The other day, a friend who wanted to watch "The Bad Boy Tour" called the Araneta Coliseum to inquire about ticket prices. The lady at the other end of the line said patron tickets cost P5,000-plus each and general admission seats P300, binoculars not included.

    Wow! Only about a week ago, he had called the same number for an initial inquiry. At that time, patron tickets were pegged at P15,000 apiece and the bleachers seats at P800 each.

    For Mario, the project was now turning into a nightmare. As of last Wednesday, only a minute fraction of the tickets was sold, and the television sponsorship did not measure up even to half of what was expected. Looking gravely harassed, Mario was now turning paranoid. He has started blaming everybody, except himself, for the impending fiasco. Filipino volunteers he had been dealing with reported that his group had been so difficult to deal with. They were talking to so many people at the same time for overlapping jobs and deals and these led to confusion.

    At the end of the day, the chaos took its toll. Or maybe the market, despite Rodman, just wasn't too interested in watching a group of has-beens play for so much money. You will probably know what I'm talking about on Monday, Labor Day, also the day Rodman and company will display their wares at the Big Dome.

    =============================================

    Bukas na ito di ba? He-he....kung totoo itong nasa PDI, mukhang "lalangawin" ang laro ni Rodman sa Pinas.

    Mga Tsikoteers, sino manonood sa inyo?

    IMO, the organizers simply priced themselves out. 5,000 or 15,000 is just too high a price to pay just to watch NBA greats who are way past their prime.

    $300 is very expensive but worth watching some NBA legends.

    Yup. And hindi talaga pinayagang makalapit si Phil kay Dennis. I guess Dennis still has bad feelings towards his old man.

    'Saw the NBA Bad Boys team at the Centennial (domestic) airport last Thursday morning. Murphy, Moncrief, Dawkins, Birdsong, and English were accomodating to fans - smiling, willingly posing for pictures, having a nice word or two to a well-wishers, hand-shakes all around.

    Not Rodman.

    He was dour and not very accomodating. While he didn't do something stupid, he obviously was not enjoying himself.
