OT: I don't understand why some people would buy very expensive MOUNTAIN BIKES and use it 90% of the time on paved road or cemented pathways? I just think thats dumb

Ako bibili pa lang moutain bike.

Ok na ba yung vision 1.5 sa beginner? Ano pala yung hydro?

haha that's ok, i guess some of them havent tried trail riding yet. i ride mtb and also use it 90% of the time on cemented road, not because i have poor handling skills or dont want to get dirty but because you get stronger in riding on road, i use a sub20lb xc rig btw not a long travel monster haha

hydro? you must mean hydraulic brakes. all hardtails basically perform the same, pick the lightest. giant xtc, khs elite, and trek are the lightest i think

    Ano yung sram?

Sa mga pricing ng bike. Example yung vision 1.5 di ba around 10thou. Tapos meron iba brand 15thou. Ano usually difference pag nagmahal ng bike? (Parts being more matibay? new technology? lighter weight? or just brand lang.)

THANKS.

    Salamat sa information ah.

By the way meron bike store dito sa araneta avenue.

My cousin went to iron bike yesterday. Nagandahan sa entry level trek 3700 model. Price is 17,500.

haha other riders like me who ride mostly road on mtbikes still like the comfort of mtbikes, must be my age hehe

kidding aside, its still safer to use mtbike, more agile, stronger stopping power, very necessary when you pass towns where kids run amok. I do long exploratory rides and you never know road conditions in the provinces

the price of the bike depends on alot of things, higher groupset, better fork, better cockpit, better wheelset etc etc..

in the end the main thing that affects price is the weight, the lighter the part, the more expensive and a lightweight bike makes a ton of difference
