March 27th, 2017 08:46 AM #2Just ested my ears with a signal generator, frequency counter and audio amplifier. The results are: 35hz - 11.5khz. "Normal' ears could hear from 20hz to 20 khz. Below 20hz, some people could 'feel' 14hz and some children could hear up to 30khz!
Pest control devices' freqs: 22khz - 25khz for dogs and cats; 38khz - 44khz for mosquitoes, fleas, house fly, spiders, cockroaches; 52khz - 60khz for lizards; 60khz - 72khz for rats. Some manufacturers use 28khz - 30khz for cockroach, moles, mice, rats; 31khz - 40khz fr bees, katytids. wasps, hornets; 40khz - 75khz for moths and butterflies; 75khz - 80khz for mosquitoes, rats. In my experiments, I swept the freq 30khz - 80khz with 100db piezo. It is supposed to drive away mosquitoes within 2000 sq ft. The result? visibly LESS mosquitoes and a terrible headache! Imo, those pest repellers on TV are scams; they may be effective if they have a new technology.
The CHAdeMO plug is definitely a concern. And yes, you are potentially purchasing old tech. In...
