This is scary. How can we determine if the sweetener used in the foods that we buy is safe or not. Especially for those who have kids that are out in school, yung mga mahilig bumili ng mga snacks.

And since it was mentioned that it came from Indonesia (na malapit din ang Malaysia dito), hindi kaya yung mga chocolates na Malaysian-made e affected? For me kasi, yun ang sweets na kinakain ko. I'm not much into pearl shakes, ice cream, etc..

Sodium cyclamate is different from aspartame, the artificial sweetener in soft drinks.

favorite pa naman ng cancer cell ang sugar / matamis. scanning for a certain tumor requires a short-lived radioactive tracer isotope usually into blood circulation. a sugar called fluorodeoxyglucose.

Sugar substitute - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
At that time, sodium cyclamate was the "magic sugar" being referred to as carcinogenic and was therefore banned. But last year - 2013, the ban was ALREADY LIFTED. How can that be?

Is it therefore possible too that aspartame - currently alllowed by FDA as a "safe" sweetener, be also banned sometime???

Cancer-causing "Magic Sugar" being smuggled into the Phils.
