This is scary. How can we determine if the sweetener used in the foods that we buy is safe or not. Especially for those who have kids that are out in school, yung mga mahilig bumili ng mga snacks.
And since it was mentioned that it came from Indonesia (na malapit din ang Malaysia dito), hindi kaya yung mga chocolates na Malaysian-made e affected? For me kasi, yun ang sweets na kinakain ko. I'm not much into pearl shakes, ice cream, etc..

favorite pa naman ng cancer cell ang sugar / matamis. scanning for a certain tumor requires a short-lived radioactive tracer isotope usually into blood circulation. a sugar called fluorodeoxyglucose.

ya that's why cancer patients lose weight very quickly and become very weak. The tumors compete with normal cells for glucose but the tumors win coz of their faster metabolism.

OT nadawit ang aspartame na cancer causing din daw kaya a study of about half a million people was conducted, published in 2006, compared people who drank aspartame-containing beverages with those who did not. Results of the study showed that increasing levels of consumption were not associated with any risk of lymphomas, leukemias, or brain cancers in men or women.
Researchers examined the relationship between aspartame intake and 1,888 lymphomas or leukemias and 315 malignant brain cancers among the participants of the NIH-AARP Diet and Health Study from 1995 until 2000. Development of these cancers was not associated with estimated aspartame consumption, refuting a recent animal study with positive findings for lymphomas and leukemias and also contradicting claims regarding brain cancer risk.
pero ang iba naman ay nagsasabing iyun nga cancerous din daw ito..hhhmmm

At that time, sodium cyclamate was the "magic sugar" being referred to as carcinogenic and was therefore banned. But last year - 2013, the ban was ALREADY LIFTED. How can that be?
Is it therefore possible too that aspartame - currently alllowed by FDA as a "safe" sweetener, be also banned sometime???
