di naman controversial yung howard - jones trade. medyo one sided lang but understandable. i just wanted to ask if anybody wished to protest the trade, because i wasn't going to veto it. i'm also glad that PK's colleagues confirmed my initial impression (feels good to have independent people agree with you).

as a general rule, i will try my best not to veto unless it's totally ridiculous (yung talagang wala kang maisip na justification). i've seen the veto used by commishes because they didn't want the other teams to get better, or because they felt that they would have made a better offer for the player. that's an abuse of power and takes all the fun out of playing this game. so sige lang, trade ng trade

veed, to answer your question, your waiver priority determines how likely you'll get the player (it's the number in the 'waiver' column on the league page). the only problem is, nobody knows which managers have submitted a waiver claim for the same player so unless you're #1 you're never certain you'll get him.

waiver priorities are first assigned in reverse order of the draft (since Jlee drafted last, he gets #1). when you exercise your waiver priority and actually get the player, you get moved to last priority (#12).

Tmac is still suffering from a "sore back". mukhang chronic, but he can play thru it. Yao Ming well was just outplayed by big Ben, although Ben Wallace took an elbow from Yao, and Yao fell on top of his leg, looks ok tho. Rafer Alston well just played himself out of the rotation.

Well, Yao's been pretty solid for me for pts. rebounds and some blocks. I can't recall him having games without at least 1.

yep, i was watching that game last nite...there was this awesome sequence in the 3rd quarter where they were trying to get Yao established on the block...and had him post up Ben (who doesn't even come to his shoulder) 6-7 straight times...every single time Wallace stole the ball, blocked his shot, or forced a turnover. what a monster.

as for Alston, he also just played himself off my team
