    Just for fun...

based on each team's lineup alone... What's the "power ranking" of the league right now?

Last round na pala?!? Deym! Kulang ang roster list, hehe.

Let's finish the drafts then on with the lineup setup on fantasy league for trade offers.

eh, hindi pa umabot sa finish line. tuwing umaga yata nagche-check si altis at si jlee so intayin na lang natin yung last 2 picks.

as far as power rankings, maybe somebody can make the projections and run the numbers, but here are some teams that i like:

    Kim's ballers:
hard to beat the gunner combo of hinrich/pierce/allen. starting big men are solid with #1 KG, Zach and Dalembert, who will improve his stats now that the PT-killing Jim O'Brien is gone from Philly. imho Nazr and Deng won't do anything for him, but he has some solid contributors like Battier and Stro Swift as well.

    Fajero fafas:
this team will run away in the points category i think. the only issue is that his shooters don't shoot too many 3's and they don't pass the ball (except for AI and B-B-B-Billups)

    Team owner:
ownertype drafted a lot of my favorite players - he also had the best 1st half of the draft by far: Amare, AK, Peja, Antawn and Terry? unreal. buti na lang we don't only play starting 5, hehe. unfortunately, i think some of his picks later on might not perform to expectations - Crawford, Simmons and Dampier especially - but i could be wrong. great pick with Jason Williams late, who'll take over the Damon Jones shooter role in Miami, except that he's much better than DJ.

    M 50 to tha Fizzle:

the team to beat! if you'll permit me to 'make yabang' for a minute, i think the strength of my team is its balance. i targeted guys who contribute strongly in many categories and i got 4 - Lebron, Big Ben, Manu and Crazy Ron. i also got 3 guys who i think will take a big step forward this year - Paul, Al Jeff and Howard. i don't have a lot of 3-point shooters but everybody makes a few so i end up pretty decent.

weaknesses: well, if Ben and Ron get into another fight and get banned my season is dead :D but seriously, i think i'm a big man short of where i want to be. if Howard and Al Jeff break out, and Kaman has a good season, then i think i'm in good shape...but it's a risk. i also have too many young guys (Paul, Al, Smith, Howard), who may or may not be busts, and also too many crazy guys (Artest, Rafer)

all in all i was j/k about the 'team to beat' comment, but i think i'm at least top 4

i encourage you guys to post your evaluations of your team and others...i think it'll be fun, and we'll also get an idea of how everyone wants to improve their team (so we can make the right trade offers, hehe). also gives us a chance to talk trash

I only achieved 40% of my target lineup from drafts. Nomads might be weak on rebounding & blocks since I will gamble on the C spot for rookies. I'll just cross my fingers and hope they will get enouogh PT and exposure to be competitive enough.

Alston, Brezec, R.Wallace, D.Jones, Ku.Thomas & G.Wallace will be sorely missed for their contributions. I also did made a boo-boo with Gooden, never had enough time to read the analyst's pages with his probable lower PT this season.

I'm betting on PG-SG-G-SF-F spots. They are pretty well covered and should earn my team vital stats for sure win on PTS, 3PM, FG, FT, AST & TO categories. Other categories will be a bonus if big players fullfill their roles. 6-3 recored everyweek ain't that bad for a sure slot come championship games.

PS. Though I still have prospects that could end up in my team after some trade talk deals.

Ako wala lang. Basta pag nanalo ako eh di talo kung ka-match ko d b? ganun lang kasimple hehehehehe

Anyway tingin ko ok ang matchups this season. This will be an exciting one. The ORACLE sees that it will blow some other teams' butt (that is if the ORACLE does not get his ass blown first hehehehehe).

O ano??? Trade propositions na (akala mo naman makikipag-trade ako agad hehehehe).

Well since its my first time to join a fantasy league I don't know what to expect. I missed some players like Boozer, Brand, J'Oneal, Kirilenko.

I was particularly warry of the injury troubles of Kirilenko and J-O'neal, I was considering picking the stat stuffing Russian for my 2nd pick, but settled for Bosh and I'm crossing my fingers that he breaks out.

McGrady will be my all around stat stuffer and I'm hoping his back holds up (25 7 7), Wallace, Bosh, K Martin, B. Haywood, Marshall will provide rebounds and some scoring and blocks. McGrady, Lewis, Marshall will be my primary gunners. Mason and Inguodala will provide a little of everything.

The glaring weakness I see in my team should be the 1 Guard position, I took a risk with Levingston cuz I believe that Cassell will be traded before the trading deadline or his back starts acting up. Andre Miller is my only true 1 so I hope the George Karl gives him lots of PT.

Among the strong teams -> Team Owner, Kim's Ballistics, Alipores ni Mantoy and M54's team. The darkhorse could the theveed's team with Kobe Bryant, Steve Francis, Richard Jefferson and Elton Brand. Camby will help a lot if he stays healthy. I'm surprised tho with his Mark Jackson pick tho.

One things for sure, its gonna be fun

Juan Dixon is a combo guard, in the mold of a David Wesley and Bobby Jackson, same with Antonio Daniels, but Antonio Daniels will give you the assists.

Guys remember, if youre overstocked in a position, and cant accomodate all players with games for a certain date, sayang din.

Just to let you all know, i have a comprehensive database will all stat categories for all teams. SOrry, but i choose not to share it at this time Hehehehhehe.

Kaya lang its on my laptop sa office. anyways, ill post the projected averages per team on monday that's if you like me to. May disadvantage din kasi pag nalaman ng iba yung strenghts/weaknesses mo. Since H2H tayo, they can have a clue on how to beat you.

*Ungas, I'll be happy to take Gooden out of your hands. Please select from my wide array of SGs and SFs. PM lang po.

PK, you don't have to evaluate or post anything if you want to keep your advantage. sa dinami-dami ng pinost ko na analysis marami din akong hindi sinasabi :evillaugh

this is a competition after all

altis has 48 hours after jim's pick, or sunday 9:23 pm. otherwise he gets Jim Jackson, GF Phoenix Suns, who at #93 is the highest ranked player on the yahoo ranking system that has not been picked.

you guys can talk trades all you want, i just won't change the original rosters to preserve the integrity of the draft. feel free to make your backroom deals and just complete the trades when the league goes live. wala tayong moratorium on deals like the real NBA, heehee

a few more notes before we start:

i set trades to be reviewed and approved by the commissioner. after a trade is accepted, any manager (including the commish) will have 2 days to protest the trade if he feels it is unfair to the other managers or upsets the balance of the league. make sure you let me know the reason you are protesting - on the league page or anonymously if you prefer.

after review, commissioner will reverse the trade, let it stand, or if i'm not sure i will put the trade to a league vote.

just to be clear - i will not wait two days to approve every trade. as long as the trade is not glaringly unfair (like Amare for Pachulia) i will approve as soon as i see it and we'll resolve protests later. this is a red tape-free league :D

if anyone disagrees with a veto, rule or any decision that i make, we will decide by league vote. i will try my very best to resolve any protests, votes and vetoes within two days.
