i am sorry guys. i had to go do something and when i came back the site was so slow it took me 40 minutes to put in my pick.
comments on the 10th round...
two names to remember: Donyell Marshall and Josh Smith. i wanted both those guys and ended up losing them because i waited too long. 'Yell is a fantasy stud when he gets the minutes...3-point shooter and great rebounder. his value is limited because he shares time with Gooden on the Cavs, but if Gooden ever gets injured or traded - watch out! Josh Smith - what can i say? the rebounds and steals are nice, but 2 blocks per game from a guard??! and a rookie whose scoring will only get better??! ridiculous.
Battier and Jason Williams are solid picks in this round as well. Battier does a little bit of everything (although it's hard to get PT in Memphis), while White chocolate will have all the wide-open 3's he wants from Flash and Diesel's passes.
my pick, Al Jefferson, is pure upside. the kid got 7 pts, 6 rebs and 1 blk in less than 15 minutes of PT last year. this year he's the starting PF. he's not a sure thing like the guys above but in the 10th i'm rolling the dice and hoping to hit it big.
a word of caution on a few guys - Boykins, Kenny Thomas, Atkins and Ratliff. these guys either come off the bench or are in a timeshare at their position. caveat emptor.
best pick: Josh Smith
value pick: Donyell Marshall
