Yup. Alot of articles out there from "sources" saying different things like Masai got upset after losing Game 1 when they could've had it, then not responding in Game 2. Also the coaching staff did not hold Demar accountable and let him do whatever he wanted; and that Casey asked for an extension (after getting swept!) with a year left on his contract (for job security) which led Masai to fire him.
In fairness to the organization, they gave Casey every chance. Remember he was not Masai's coach. He inherited Casey from the previous GM, Bryan Colangelo. He could've fired him when they got swept by the Wizards a few years ago but still gave him a chance and extended him.
So whatever reason it was, I'm happy with the firing. I'm sure he'll be coaching another team soon. I hope the Raps improve the roster this offseason ala Boston and not tanking like the Sixers.
