September 29th, 2007 06:16 PM #143Hi! I was thinking about doing the same thing last night until I read the long thread on Nitrogen in tires here in tsikot. Made me think twice... Will carefully evaluate again before diving in (if ever)...

September 29th, 2007 07:43 PM #146They simply deflate your tire and fill up with notrogen. They have a machine that pumps nitrogen.
This might help, http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showt...light=nitrogen
I inflated my van's tires with nitrogen. Cant say that the ride improved. But I dont have to fill up as often.

minerva tire gallery provides nitrogen inflation of tires. at their branch along diosdado macapagal avenue, on 24 september, i had my 4 tires re-inflated with nitrogen (from 28psi to 30psi) at P50.00 for all the tires. i had the tires initially inflated with nitrogen last july 2007.
well, with nitrogen-inflated tires, you wont have to inflate tires ever so often unlike if the tires have "ordinary" air.
however, you would have to shell out money--some service centers at P100/tire or P70/tire--when you need to re-inflate. i dont think these nitrogen-inflating service stations are many compared with the gas stations that have "ordinary" air for free. not to mention, the vulcanizing shops...
well, it now depends on one's preference whether to inflate with nitrogen or "ordinary" air.
by the way, the benchmark for the nitrogen is at 95% - 98%.

nitrogen air is good for the tires, however, you can not find them available in all gas station, especially if you go out of town, especially in my case.
back to regular air, I just monitor the tire pressure regularly
A 70/30 water to coolant mix may improve cooling efficiency but that's at the cost of less...
Coolant...
