August 4th, 2005 05:59 PM #872whoa!! dami info! thanks ILD, dehadista, theveed for your inputs! still absorbing them (hehe). follow up lang po....
dehadista, mahal pala reflections car wax, p985! any other alternative?
guys, very well noted yung claying method and the need for the cleaner wax, since white yung color, siguro i'll apply it na rin para siguradong malinis! noted din yung 3m scratch remover and 3m tar remover.
theveed, what do you recommend as glass cleaner? medyo yung mura lang sana.
re IHG, panel by panel ang application and buffing, as per previous posts sa thread na 'to. so i guess eto gawin ko.
theveed, ill get the megs applicator pad. is this the yellow one? also, what is the brand of the bosch rop and saan available? sana meron sa ace kasi merong 5% off pag over p1k ang purchase!
im still working on those pics. try next post. thanks ulit mga gurus! i would also appreciate suggestions and comments fr the other enthusiastic detailers in this thread.

August 4th, 2005 09:03 PM #876dehadista, i do plan to review previous posts to refresh memory. i do remember your black accord....lupet sa kintab! was this the car that was damaged by the dealer's washing? i hope ok na ride mo sir.
ILD, saludo pa rin sir!
theveed, if a 985 quality wax will give 1 year, im for that! will this wax in a 16 oz bottle last this long, considering that you adviced me to cleaner wax and pure wax every 2 weeks? i remember a previous post where someone adviced to use a drop as small as a 25 centavo coin on the applicator pad per panel the size of a door. is this correct?
also, im sorry but i meant what model nung bosch, not brand. sneaky suggested a dewalt 443. what would you advice a newbie like me to choose? just curious, you bash the kp600 like its a piece of sh_t (hehe).....is it that bad? spending P3k on a piece of sh_t is no joke! hehe

KP600 is good enough for wax application. But for surface correction, its another story, ultimately the downside of the KP600 is its lack of variable speed, when you put more weight or pressure on it, it really slows down.

August 4th, 2005 10:44 PM #879ILD, i see your point. the bosch or dewalt is a better value in the long run, it seems. i guess in auto detailing, you'll soon go beyond just mere cleaning and waxing...and by that time, the kp600 will be useless. you're right, wala nga palang variable speed yon. pero p5k is a big amount. gusto ko talaga bumili kaso ipon na lang muna. concentrate muna ako sa quality ng detailing products ko before i jump into an rop buy. kakayanin muna ng mga kamao ko yung trabaho.
zechs, nakagat ako ng detailing bug eh. any advices as well for a detailing newbie?

stubby, take your time lang. dont rush when you're detailing. thats why you have to set aside half a day or even a whole day for that. hehehe as for me, got no time really. daming ginagawa. usually sa weekends, i clean the car and then wax it afterwards. might not be enough "detailing" but at least i got my exercise...hehe all by hand kasi for me.
So what's wrong with increased coolant concentration? The cooling capacity mostly comes from water,...
Coolant...
