kmo: what a sad story about your xty. hope that does not happen to my unit, which i got last thursday afternoon.

guys, the xty is worth every centavo i paid. the handling and the ride is superb.

i drove the fortuner 3.0 of my friend and comparing it with our xty, the latter is more fitted for city driving. i hardly press the accelerator pedal and the xty moves forward. well, i guess because the fortuner i drove was diesel. still, i find the fortuner heavy with pick up like ride.

anyway, for the 2 days that i have drove my xty, i am more than satisfied with it. tama si ziegle, you would really love to bring your xty out for a cruise in the province. cant wait to break in the engine so i can really feel its power.

I also plan to install iridium spark plugs, when do i install these? after the 1k kms pms? can i install these myself, as in DIY?

what are the specs of the iridium spark plugs for our xty, if NGK= if Denso=

Yes you certainly can. You just need the right tools for the job (Torque wrench + 6" extention + Spark Plug Socket Wrench + 10mm socket wrench), zeagle sells 'em Iridiums, just PM him for details.

by the way, what are the simplest and easiest mods I can make in my xty to enhance performance and yet get better mileage?

BTW, what variant did you get? the 200, 200x or 250x?

i got the 200 variant, silver x with the roof spoiler and fender mirror. also, the hu now is JVC which has an input in front, i think to accommodate Ipods.

Installing Iridiums. Aside from that, controlling your right foot

I'm getting around 7-7.8 in the city, I'll know by next week if it improves after installing Iridiums.
