I guess they did something else aside from reducing the number of springs. I had the last 2 springs removed from our D-Max's 7 leaf pack but the ride did not change.
Anyway, our 4x2 A/T D-Max is nearing its 20T km PMS and the Isuzu dealer we go to quoted the whole procedure P11,200 (parts & labor). I'm thinking of buying the filters & fluids individually outside the casa to cut costs. Where can I buy original Isuzu filters in Banawe? I also wish to know how many liters is the capacity of the A/T of the D-Max? TY.

the 2004 dmax has no tow-hook/point at the rear. in case you want to tow a corolla in an emergency for about 5kms, where will you attach the towline or chain? the bumper step area looks not so tough for towing, but i saw a dmax with a ball type hook or what ever its called, screwed on it. it looks for porma only but if its functional baka gayain ko ito.
di naman pwde mag tow nang pa atras lang.
isketi: sa 2004 dmax MT 4x2, 5.2 liters and nakalagay sa manual. but sa casa i have seen them pour in as much as 6 liters (more than 500cc ito DIY binabawas ko based sa pag check ko nang dipstick the next morning after overnite parking on a level ground, sobra sobra sa maximum level). sa isuzu makati, no owner's parts accepted, lahat i.bill sa iyo. sa pasig naman pwede owner's oil, have not tried for filters.

just want to share this
went to dingalan, aurora via cabanatuan. upon entering aurora province, its the worst road i have seen. rocks rocks dirt mud rocks stones dirt mud. its the NATIONAL Highway in that area but it FELT and looked like an offroad trail. it was daw a little better before the storms and floods of 2004. but still da paw na cementohan yun NATIONAL Highwa na yun.
the dmax survived. hindi na gasgasan ang ilialim kasi mataas ang clearance. went there for the beach and the cheap uling (puno cargo area ko nang mga 15 sacks uling). i have no off-road experience but maybe because i was driving a dmax (yun ground clearance ata ang biggest strenght ko sa byahe na ito) i survived.
may xtrail dun. na overtake ko nung bumagal sya dahil mabato. i was able to build enough speed to pass. kya dmax yun mga bato
thats all

my dmax is nearly 15mos old at 39511kms. this week will schedule the 40k kms pms na
very satisfied with it.
aside from the front shocks (claimed against warranty), fan belts, also replaced the battery
replaced the stock battery with a 3sm motolite enduro, from a 2sm (yun puti na MF). 2sm sana but 500 lang add to upgrade to 3sm at 3sm ay fit na fit dun sa battery area nya but wala na sya sapin na plastic tray (to hold daw spilling water/acid from a non-maintenance free battery).
old battery just died. found out two cells was in need of some water. maybe it will continue to function after a recharge but i was on my way to nueva ecija and did not want to take chances so i bought a new battery.
but to my regret i was not able to read thru tsikot.com forums about batteries before buying. may possibility pala mag malfunction mga MF batteries. Enough to even explode. have i known in advance, yun motolite truckmaster or yun recomend type ni mr.otep nalang nabili ko.
All stock Dmax 2004 4x2 MT. except for the vision plus headlight bulbs and the rhino lining.
Planning and saving for the following parts and upgrades:
1) AT tires: Bridegestone 694 and the like
2) clip on tarpouline: for the cargo area. i have seen one on the road but no brand visible
3) hitch or towing gear: to be able to tow those locally made trailers for stuff and live animals.
4) Rancho 5xxxx shocks: stocks are not that durable for my uses
5) stepboards
6) rollbars: to be able to protect the rear widshield and third brake light when carry long items in the bed.
thats all i can think of
all the best to all

Wow! Sulit talaga yun dmax. I have mine at almost 7 mons and I have to take it for 5k PMS
What happend to your shocks? Did they bottom out? A rollbar would be good, the 3rd brake light is not flushed.

they just started leaking. kahit di naman ako nag off road but i have been to bad provincial roads (parang off road narin siguro).
but i believe its still considered as normal driving conditions for the pickup truck. even at edsa, travelling at 60kph, you can feel the bumps din.
strange nga pa daw, my rear shocks are still in good condition. nomally in a pickup, these are the ones to leak first.
my unsolicited advice to dmax owners. once in a while drive your truck hard. maybe 10 mins of 130kph at the nlex. drive at rough/bad roads to shake all those city driving dust. but still within the linits of "normal driving". at least until the warranty is still in effect. so we will know which parts will break down and will have it replaced by isuzu. as per condition of the warranty

Bakit parang halos wala yatang active thread for Isuzu car owners? I noticed active threads are all about Innovas & Fortuners. Bakit kaya kuya?
So what's wrong with increased coolant concentration? The cooling capacity mostly comes from water,...
Coolant...
