Pare cut and paste ko my post to Nissanbayan.

Last tuesday, April 13, I brought in my Xtrail to claim warranty for my chipped of bumper paint. I have complained to Nissan Westgate about the peeling of my bumper paint during my 5K PMS. At that time, the peeled of paint on the left side of my bumper was still small and I see no urgency to have it fixed immediately. I just told the adviser that I will just bring it back when my hectic schedule frees me.

I brought in my car again after several months for my 10K PMS and warranty repair of my bumper. However, during that time, the warranty officer of Westgate is not available.

So finally last Tuesday, I brought it in for the warranty repair. I was attended to by Caloy, their warranty officer I guess, and took a look at my bumper. According to him, Nissan plant people needs to approve the warranty claim before they can do anything. He suggested that to make the process fast, instead of the usual picture taking and sending it to the plant, that they drive my car to the plant, get approval, and have it repaired inside the plant. Sounds good to me. Plant quality painting. Caloy asked me to return the following day, my color coding day, so we can bring it to the plant.

The following day, Caloy was absent. In place of Caloy, a certain Mark attended to me at Westgate and I explained everything about Caloy's idea. Mark said that there is no problem and we can have the car sent to the plant. I told him if he can just asked somebody to go with me and we will bring my car. He said that it is not possible for me to tag along since customers are not allowed at the plant. Ganun ba? So I said ok, just bring my car to the plant and to take care of my car. He introduced me to Kim, the person who will bring my car. I just asked Kim to bring me home before he brings my car to the plant since I did not expect that I cannot tag along. I live a few kilometers away from Westgate.

By 3pm the same day, my housemaid called and informed me that Kim delivered my car to my house already. Wow! That is good service. They bothered to deliver my car at home. Cool!

I got home at six and immediately took a look at my bumper. ****! No paint job was done.

The following day, I used my car to work and noticed that my full tank of gas yesterday morning is now almost half full. Damn! What happened to my gas? Something is wrong. So what I did, I had my gas filled up to check on my km/ltr reading which I religously record. Below is the reading that I got.

Date of fill ....Volume ....Distance ....Km/Ltr
    March 30, 05-33.88-----269.2------ 7.945
    April 03, 05---34.17-----295.4------ 8.645
    April 07, 05---34.43-----269.6------ 7.830
    April 14, 05---25.92-----153.2------ 5.910

If you will notice, there is a big drop in my km/ltr reading. I can only conclude three things.

    1. Fuel was pumped out of my tank
    2. They used my car as an airconed sleeping quarter
    3. They drove my car crazy that it consumed a lot of gas

I confronted Kim about this and the flimsy reason given to me is that a certain JR drove my car since he needed to drive another car. This JR guy made a wrong exit and had to travel farther. I said it does not matter how far he went but what matters is my fuel consumption. I don't buy his excuse.

Now, if there are any Westgate people reading this, please give me a better reason. Incidents like this makes me think twice having my car serviced in a casa.

zeagle: May nakuha ka bang coupon for free panel repaint? Sana yun na lang ginamit mo... medyo hassle talaga pag sa kasa o kaya pa paint mo sa labas.

Mga parekoy since we are in this subject, nabasa ko sa ibang thread na required lang ipaservice sa casa on the 1st 1000Kms and 5000Kms PMS, after that pwede mo na ipaservice sa labas basta pepermahan lang lang yung service booklet. What do you think? Hirap kasi sa casa hindi mo nakikita yung ginagawa nila.

Update sa kalokohan ng Nissan Westgate:

I verified with Metro Manila Skyway the Epass consumption of my car the day Westgate people brought it for warranty inspection. Epass entry and exits should have been:

    Filinvest to Sta. Rosa
    Sta. Rosa to Filinvest

    Upon verification from MM Skyway:

    10:33 Filinvest to Sucat
    10:47 Sucat to Sta. Rosa
    11:43 Sta. Rosa to Susana

Ginawa pang taxi yung sasakyan ko. Mga ogags talaga.
