we wont get a taxi of course. that is suicide. we'll use grab and continue reporting the high fares. we have regulators for this very issue...

Alisin nila yun capped ng surge. Let the open market dictate pricing.

For me, there are times na masmahal Uber. Other times Grab. I just use Grab kasi fixed ang fare once you booked. Of course kung di ka iwasan ng Grab driver kung malayo o matraffic ang route to destination. Yun lang actually nakikita kong advantage ni Uber na di nila alam destination before starting ng trip. Kapag parehong mahal like during surge, nagttiyaga nalang ako magtaxi. To me, I don't blame Grab sa unusually high surge ng fare. I don't blame them for getting monopoly ng TNVS. Blame Uber and LTFRB. Unless kakutsaba ni Grab si LTFRB. Hehe

    artificial pricing doesn't last forever

Uber has been operating at a loss since it started

one area of cash burn is subsidizing rides

at some point, investors will no longer tolerate it

    nakaka-addict ang subsidies

    kita niyo NFA rice

nagrereklamo ngayon mga tao wala mabili 27-32 pesos per kilo na rice

same thing nagrereklamo mga tao mahal ang grab

    na-spoiled kasi ng uber

    When goverments interfere with business...

How can a business continue when there is no funding?

Uber ordered to continue services beyond April 8 | Inquirer Business

The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) has ordered Uber to continue its services beyond April 8, delaying Grab’s takeover deal for weeks, or even months.

In a statement, PCC said it ordered both ride-hailing firms to keep separate and independent operations until the antitrust body wraps up its review of the acquisition.

PCC had issued a set of interim measures to preserve the same business conditions prior to the deal. This means riders and drivers should still be able to choose Uber as an alternative to Grab for the time being.

The order echoes a similar move made by PCC’s counterpart in Singapore, which ordered Uber to continue operating the app for another week, or until April 15, due to similar anti-competitive concerns.
