Punctual is being on time, it doesn't necessarily mean being a lot earlier.

Traffic, saving a parking slot , is a different story. Of course these should all be considered. What time is your target really? 7am or 8am? Then again, should you arrive at 7am at the office, what do you usually do?

In my 1st job, di ako na-late kahit minsan over a span of 6.5 years, in any shift i was assigned to (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am, and 8am-5pm). and perfect attendance (no SL, on-time filing of VL, and no excess VL) for 4 consecutive years. Na-break on the 5th year when i was caught on an island due to typhoon. [emoji14] It’s on a Japanese firm.

I believe that as an employee, your 1st responsibility is to report to work on time.

    The benefits of being early:

    - more time for things you needed to work on, like answering emails or admin stuff
    - you can talk to and get to know staff who are also early, like the bosses’ assistants who can get stuff approved for you
    - relax while drinking coffee
    - the guards always direct you to good parking slots
    - it’s easier to read through memos and review things with a clear head
    - you get to plan out your work day first thing in the morning and organise your calendar
    - you set a good example for other employees
    - quiet time before the phones start ringing and the noise gets distracting
    - as shadow said, less traffic

Reminds me about my friend who came from a very good family. He is friends with the security guards, maintenance, drivers etc. He is very well spoken but when he interacts with workers he is so genuine and can speak their language (literally and figuratively) His family is from Visayas pero no accent at all sa English or Tagalog.

That's true. My former manager is not too punctual so he has no moral authority to tell us to come on time hahaha

BTT: A person who is 100% healthy more so in his 40s (and up). No maintenance, no illness, no glasses, no repairs/operation (2 kidneys, gall bladder, tonsil) etc

That's my boss I just realized how fit he is because last night he called me complaining that he can't play football because of our reports due. We did talk about he has never gone to a doctor for blood works and he has no maintenance meds at all. Quite impressive nowadays for a 43 or 44 yr old

    That works, too I suppose.

What I forgot in my list is...

    - no hurrying to time in...
    - no crowding and squeezing in the elevator...
    - no chance of being "ambushed" by the boss in the corridor...

What are your ***UAL TURN-ONs?
