90s pa lang ganyan na dyan. I won't forget because I got so mad at my HS friend when she put me on the spot to drive her college friend home in BF (with the beauty queen street names) Pikon na pikon ako sa layo at traffic

I can't imagine how it is now. Must be horrific.

Thats the original carmageddon hiway! When my family transferred there way back 1980's, zapote to alabang vice versa would just take max 30mins&it was just then a 2 lane road. By 90's it became a 4 lane hway but it got overwhelmed by sheer vehicular volume. This is where the "buhos system" originated. They stop the other direction traffic at one point and for a kilometer or 2 they let the other direction freely use the 4 lane hiway. "Buhos sa imbudo"!😲

Yes,thats why its a no-no to drive along Alabang-Zapote road even during regular days. The main reason why they have the "friendship sticker" so you can drive in/out of the villages and bypass the traffic.

I'm loving the light traffic since the start of 2018. I was not planning to go to work today and then I remembered that we have an important 5 pm meeting! I left home at 4:22 and I was in the office by 4:40. I just drove normally

Traffic!
