    Yes, this was the one in Hawaii, where the pilot was able to land the plane, in spite of the damages it sustained while flying... There was only one fatality,- a flight attendant who was swept from the airplane....

    I understand that the pilot/s got commendations for this.

    It must have been traumatic for those exposed to the elements. At 24,000 ft, the temperatures are near -30 C with the plane traveling at 500 kt. That had to be scary, especially the last moments of that flight attendant who got sucked out of the cabin. I don't think searchers ever found her body.
