Great goal by Messi. Right between the legs of the goalie.

The Donner Pass north of Lake Tahoe has a grim history.

A bunch of pioneers tried to pass over the Sierra Nevadas in winter with little food and provisions. They ended up being stuck up in the snowy mountains. While some kept going to look for help, others stayed behind. As their food ran out, people started dying. Many survivors resorted to cannibalism with some eating the dead while others committed murder and then ate the victims.

Out of 87 emigrants, 46 survived to be rescued. It's over 100 miles of rugged terrain from Truckee to the western foothills where the survivors finally found help.
