Actually, when buying a new unit you should also consider the timing. What I learned from before is that pag naghahabol ng sales quota ung isang branch or ahente they would give additional discounts. Usually, the sales quota is measured in units sold and this is measured per quarter, so the next quarter cut-off would be around end of December. Pero if you can't wait anymore then might as well buy now (with not much difference in discounts).

Sakin i also got 45k discount lang, but that was for the G varaint.

Based on my research ok na sya. Pagkakaalam ko kasi the unit is around 1.3m sa planta, so meron tubo yung dealer ng around 80k, deduct the discount of 45k they would be left with just about 35k, deduct pa ulit yung vehicle registration and CTPL insurance and other incidentals, sobrang liit na ng kinita nung dealership ko sakin. Also kumain din ng space yung unit sa dealership for a few days kasi pinaglalaban laban ko pa yung ibang dealers sa offers before actually pulling the trigger.

I also got confirmation na ok na yung offer na nakuha ko, kasi a couple of days before i was to pickup the unit my brother found out i was getting one, and as it turns out he has a friend who owns a toyota dealership, they were planning to give me a better offer pero ok na daw yung nakuha ko eh.

(Change coil or shock absorbers) Off course everyone prefer a comfortable ride, right? So question is which model would fit my budget with a decent year type of our beloved Fortuner model. Thanks Guys!
If you can get a 2009 model get a 2009. Even the gas G has an upgraded interior, with leather seats and wood garnishes. And i think 'matagtag' is relative. Oo maybe mas matagtag ang fortuner than other SUVs but it never bothered me. My car pag dinaan ko sa lubak matagtag din..

I just noticed, it seems a lot of people (including me) want to get/upgrade to the 2015 model right before the 2016 fort comes in. I was wondering if we all share the same sentiment - ok na ako sa current model, lalo if i get a good discount. Baka kasi once the 2016 fort comes the price would shoot up by 200 to 300thou?

If you're not top concerned with resale value, need a car asap and satisfied with the current model then getting the outgoing model is not too bad

For me i like the looks (hood cap), black leather interior, dark color rims that match the pearl white or cool white, hindi pa natin alam ang performance ng incoming model in regards with engine, suspension etc. and the most important thing is the price. baka yung 1.5+M eh strip off lahat.

Thanks, Waver for the reply and recommendation. I'm now considering to get a 2009 model with a diesel engine. Hopefully I get could get a nice deal and a bucket for my bucks. Cheers!

good day sirs! i recently got a used '13 4x2 variant but got only 1 key with remote. i have a few questions lang what would be better if you were me:

    1. re-program key chambers instead?
    2. look for oem duplicator?
    3. install aftermarket keyless with alarm and immobilizer (if there is such)?

looking forward to your suggestions. tia!

The 2nd hand fort i got also had just 1 key. To think dun ko pa nakuha from the Toyota Certified cars na binebenta nila. Purchased a key then ni-reprogram nila both keys. Yun lang mahal key nila mga nasa 10k
