FIREWORKS AFTER GAME 3 AS RYAN ARANA, IVAN JOHNSON ENGAGE IN SHOUTING MATCH
Things even got more heated even after the final buzzer sounded in Game Three between Rain or Shine and Talk ‘N Text on Sunday.
As they headed to the venue’s exits, Elasto Painters guard Ryan Arana and Tropang Texters import Ivan Johnson had a heated exchange and challenged each other to a fight before cooler heads prevailed.
Arana said Johnson during the game was the one who had tried to provoke him to a fight. After the game, Arana, hanging out with some of his teammates and friends in the arena exits, was approached by Johnson who walked past him.
“Sabi ko, ‘tara let’s do it.’ Hindi ko naman siya aatrasan,” Arana said.
Johnson wasn’t available for comment.
Johnson, infamously known for his short temper, has drawn the ire of the Rain or Shine squad throughout the series. In Game One, he bumped Elasto Painters coach Yeng Guiao which led to him to a technical and a fine of P150,000.
In Game Three, Johnson was also involved in a controversial play when he elbowed Paul Lee who lost his teeth. That, however, only drew an offensive foul against the import which Guiao believed should have merited a heavier call.
Mukhang itong import ng TnT is Ivan the terrible. He has to learn to control his temper, because that might just cost TnT the championship.
