October 25th, 2014 09:02 AM #1831if that's the price you see in the for sale ads, then that's the ballpark asking price. but be aware that the quality of the units vary.. from practically new, to drowned units, to veterans or survivors of torture, with only a nice cheap re-painting.. you should go around and inspect the competition..
but we all know that there is a difference between the asking price and the actual going price. and that will be up to you to decide. but this going price, never gets into the ads. it's a sort of secret between the seller and the buyer. so just how desperate are you to get rid of it?
and if you do not want bayan sellers to inquire (na-inis ka na rin, ha? welcome to the club.), maybe you should have added in your ad, "direct buyers only. no bayan sellers pls". instead, you implicitly welcomed them..
and with an ad like yours, it's very attractive.. even to me.. and i'm not even looking for one.. but with the cost of fuel and the rise of the minicar and its attractive pricing, a number of new car owners, including those who in the past may have been interested in your land yacht, are now shifting their sights on the smaller, cheaper cars..
my suggestion, is just sit tight. may kakatok din sa pinto na hindi bayan seller..
errr. humor me po.. is it a 3.0 or a 2.5 engine?Last edited by dr. d; October 25th, 2014 at 09:10 AM.

Thanks for the quick reply. 1 kasi ending plate. Extra Gastos lang. Tapos March Renewal ulit ng insurance. We want to avoid paying both.
It's not that I mind. I welcome them pero as usual low baller. Then they pretend they are direct buyers with low budget. Gagawin ka pang tanga.
You're right. We're patient naman. Pero sa totoo lang this car is super tipid to operate. Mas mahal pa mag Civic everyday eh. Ang tipid sa Fuel.
2.5 diesel sya. 4x2.

October 25th, 2014 11:00 AM #1834*efive99: Nice unit you got there, sir.
The pricing? It is... Ok but I think it will be challenging to sell. What variant is it? Sa mga 2.5 AT diesel Fort ngayon, you could get a brand new G 4x2 2.5 AT for 1.360M and 4x2 V 2.5 AT for 1.490M.
So if I will buy a 2nd hand for more than 1M, mapapa isip ako na mag ipon nalang and go for brand new either cash or installment. Imagine if I will go for the 4x2 G, 282k nalang ang idadagdag ko, brand new pa.
Sadly the add ons don't really add much to the value of the car coz at the end of the day, the buyer wants the car and not the stuff that you put into it. Kaya ung mga kung ano ano ang ikinakabit sa vehicle nila then they will price it high pag binenta, halos hindi pa nila nabawi ung ginastos nila once na mabenta.
Just feel the market let's say up to January next yr. Like what dr. d said, mapera ang mga tao pag holiday season. Pag wala padin kumakagat, that means mataas ang ganyang price for that vehicle then that's the time that you might consider adjusting your selling price.

October 26th, 2014 07:17 AM #1836Thank you. It's hard to let go. May konting separation anxiety.
It's definitely a challenge selling a vehicle at this price point. It's the price of a brand new car.
This one I have is the 4x2 2.5 G diesel. 2012 model.
Does the new 4x2 2.5 G automatic transmission still have leather seats?

October 26th, 2014 10:05 AM #1837you must forget separation anxiety or sentimental value. they get stronger with time, and yet do not add a centavo to the price.
and they're definitely not in the buyer's vocabulary.
be patient.. because the mountain goes to he who waits..

the new gen fort might come out sometime later next year so the price might be even lower by that time. so it will depend on how soon you want to sell vs. the price you can realistically get.

Walang change ng oil filter between 5k kms. Nung tinanong ko father ko sabi nya eh good for 15k daw yung oil as per casa.
TIA

I disagree and wouldn't advise that. Additives get used up too, so topping up with the proper...
Coolant...
