July 12th, 2014 10:10 AM #1541I am curious whether these issues are also present in tropical countries?
From what I read in the links you posted, some are reaching temps of 20F to 50F in their surroundings? So about -6 to 10 degree ceilcius which we don't encounter close enough temps other than in Mt. Province?
I have yet to find it in other forums as of now. Are they also sourcing their from Japan? Doesn't USA source Mazda from Mexico (if I'm not mistaken)?

After using our CX5 AWD 2.5 for almost a year and logging in 82XXkms, no problem so far, aside from the "tok" sound when you full steer on the left but this issue was addressed by mazda by lubricating it - speaking of, i will request for replacement in my 1 yr pms because problem reoccur after few months of lubricating it. According to SA of Mazda Makati, replacement will be made if lubricating did not solved the problem.

July 12th, 2014 08:32 PM #1543Thank you for your replies! Relieved to hear no prob sa CX 5 at almost 9000kms.
Share lang: Test drove a Mazda 3 2.0R a while ago and no transmission jerking or anything so I'm 95% solved! Wala lang stock ng red and I'll read up a bit more and discuss it with the management's dealer just in case something major comes up I'll ask lang what's their SOP. Ford kasi dati mahirap kausap sa warranty so I hope Berjaya is different. Personal savings ko kasi pambabayad kaya Im just being extra cautious.
Tested the Subbie XV and Civic 2.0 as well di ko type. Sobrang laspag nung test unit ng Subaru kaka-disappoint.
Back to topic, sana nga weather lang yung nag ccause ng problems abroad and I was told Japan does not provide their units New Mexico nga so I hope that's also positive. But does weather affect the longevity of a drivetrain even at less than 5000kms? Curious din ako actually. Last Q. Pag new mexico ba binuo pati yung parts dun din o galing Japan parin then bolt on na lang sa assembly plant? Thanks everyone! Will post future questions sa Mazda 3 thread na haha

July 12th, 2014 09:41 PM #1544This is a different question but please pardon me. I just wanted to confirm kung may alarm system ba ang CX-5 natin? I know for a fact that it has an immobilizer but I'm not sure with the alarm. Based on the manual, meron naman daw alarm system but I just wanted to make sure kung applicable din ba un sa mga units here in the Philippines. Thanks in advance!

I find it funny that you guys are debating the price of the iStop battery when you are about to purchase a million and a half peso vehicle. 😄
Badabing! Badabong!

July 13th, 2014 07:53 PM #1549Nobody can answer the question better than those who have actual experience of the car. I don't think you limit discussions to only what people want to see and hear about the car. Eventually some people will have problems be it minor or major. It was really just an honest question and I've stated the reason behind it so no point in accusing.
Anyway, someone generously gave a straight answer so I'm goodthanks for your input though.

July 13th, 2014 09:23 PM #1550I see. Thanks for that clarification.
FOLLOW UP QUESTION: I'm sure may nakapagtry na magpalagay ng car alarm sa CX-5 nila. Just wanted to know if what brand will you recommend? I went to a certain shop before para magpalagay ng car alarm but the owner declined. Masyado daw maganda yung car ko para daw sa alarm nila. Yung alarm kasi nila is made in China worth around 2.5k. So I went to a different shop and they showed me two brands: Code Alarm and Cobra. Any reviews about these brands? Or should I look for a different brand? Thanks!
The BYD SL6 is a PHEV. you dont need to charge it to get it moving like an EV. you can run it on...
China cars
