February 2nd, 2014 10:09 AM #373according to pedrosgarage (google it), an average nitrogen-filled tire weighs 2.7 grams less per tire, compared to an air-filled tire.. that's a whooping 13.5 grams per car (five tires, right?)!! ilang buto lang yan ng champoy..
and in one year, a nitrogen-filled tire loses 2.2 psi, compared to the air-filled tire's 3.5 psi..
according to this source, the advantage of nitrogen over air is mathematically palpable only if the nitrogen were given away free...
btw, just how nitrogen is the nitrogen that these sellers provide? pure ba yan, o 78% nitrogen?Last edited by dr. d; February 2nd, 2014 at 10:13 AM.

Just a placebo effect imo. I will only use nitrogen in tires if it could prolong the life of the tire. If not then, I'll not consider it.

The only connection i can think of is that nitro maintains the tyre pressure longer so in this case, your tyre will wear down less if you're not the type to air up every other week.
I use nitro on my tyres now (air up at S&R), mainly to not have to go and put air every other week. Instead i put air every 2 months and i do it when we drop by S&R.

I've never been a believer of nitro for everyday cars. Kung Sa racing pa pwede dahil milliseconds makes a big difference.
