5 months pa lang po DMAX LX ko at running to 8kms pa lang ang natatakbo. The car stereo broke down last week of January at ng magkaganun lahat na ng di kanais nais na sound ay narinig ko. Maiingay ang pinto, the front passenger seats are squeaking and most especially the "boink" soung w/c i'm talking about.

Di ko na natiis i brought it back again to the casa last Feb. 23. di nila malaman kung ano yun. Parang witch hunting ang nangyari, di talaga madetect. Sa aircon daw nanggagagaling yun sound. Pero i dont think so kc under the hood ko naririnig, sa my bandang kanan. Pano mangyayari na sa aircon nangggagaling yun sound eh patay yun aircon!? Naiinis ako i want to return the unit or get them to replace it with a brand new one.Blah blah blah....

I talked to the branch manager, ok naman sya kaso di ako satisfied. Humingi ako ng advice sa legal counsel ko ang told me to talk to the manager ng main. I didnt waste my time at inireklamo ko lahat ng irereklamo ko. Inalok pa nila ko ng magagamit na sasakyan and sagot ko yes. Saka dapat lang naman di ba at tungkulin nila yun. Ok n b daw Isuzu Crosswind? and i said yes maraming salamat po. Ang nakakainis ok lang sana yun 2002 Crosswind XTRM kaso sira yun mga sidemirrors lalo na yun sa left side kc gumagalaw (kaya pala my inilagay turnilyo na nakasaksak sa gilid he he he). Saka yun radials MICHELAN lahat at bagong bago kaso di nila check yun alignment. Yun tuloy nasagi ako sa Moriones,Tondo ng Nissan Patrol. Cguro nasa 1,5k to 2k damage ng fender flare. pERO WALA AKO BALAK NA BAYARAN. Di nila ko dapat pinahiram ng palpak na Crosswind. Di ba?

My unit was endoresed to be fixed in another casa. The manager told me na let them handle the case at tapois daw nun babalik na confidence ko sa unit ko at sa ISUZU.It was the managers decision, mas magaling daw kc mga crew dun at mas hi-tech ang facilities nila. So i said ok. Its been a week and the customer relations officer called me yesterday at around 3pm at ok n raw, makukuha ko na yun unit ko. Ang sabi saken sa phone ng customer relations officer sa aircon daw talaga nangagaling, dahil daw meron sobra sa aircon. Ano kaya yun? labo ng sinabi nya. Saka di sila mapakali kung ano ano ibinibigay nila sa akin. Pagkain, things etc. etc. at we'll ok gusto ko yun treatment nila as long as my unit will be fixed ng ayos.

Im planning to check my unit today or tomorrow. They better be sure na di sasakit ang ulo ko or else... talagang magkakasaulian ng unit!!!! I dont want to mention any casa or what dealership kc in fairness to them wala naman may gusto na magkaganun.

Meron pa nakakainis they buffed my unit! Kainis talaga!!! Keep in touch.....till my next post.

Mam st_omach, what is happening with you truck? Mine has already clocked just above 13k kms and this weekend, I'll be going out of town and perhaps I will travel a total distance of more than 1k kms so when I get back, it's already more than 14k kms. I am just wondering why is it that you're experiencing those too early. For the squeaking sounds, I sometimes hear some in mine but it comes and goes and depending on the road condition. Your doors and front seats are making noises already? That must be something.hehe I am not sure of that "boing" sound that you are referring to. With mine, I hear something like a "chug" when I turn on the aircon. It has been like that since day one and I think it's normal. During the early days of my truck, everytime I reached a certain speed and RPM, this weird, unexplainable, long "kkkrrraaaarrr" sound kept on sounding. I don't know what happened since it's already gone and I haven't heard it for the longest time. So far I don't have any problems with my truck and mine is just 2 months older than yours. Hopefully they could fix all the problems of your truck.

Lastly, why did you get mad when they buffed your unit? Isn't it that it made your unit shinier?

Imagine pang 2nd time na cya na-buff in just 5 months. Kakukuha ko lang ng unit ko kanina. In love ulit ako sa truck ko. Inulit nila yun rustproofing ng ilalim ng truck, they released my truck in full detail in and out, pati engine detalyado, yun carpet floor at ceiling malinis na malinis, i bet they disinfected it.

So far i hope ok na at di na babalik yun boingk sound sa may unahan ng firewall sa pagitan ng engine at aircon. Yun doors ok na po satisfied ako, maganda na yun lagapak nya pag isinasara ko. Binigyan pa nila ko ng 3 diff. types of California Scents Car Freshener (pakunsuelo de bobo) anyway thanks a lot. Sayang di ko inireklamo yun tint lolz.. sana eh napalitan. Yun squeking sound ng seat sa front right andun pa rin. Kainis pero cguro dahil lang talaga yun sa leather cover. Subukan ko alisin isang araw yun cover.

Attention all DMax owners ang culprit daw yun aircon! Kesyo ewan paano magiging aircon eh kahit patay yun aircon naririnig ko pa rin yun boink sound idle man cya or running. Sabi nila yun daw freon sobra magcharge...ewan ko wala naman kc ako alam jan sa aircon. Ang importante wag na uulit yun sound na yun kundi ewan ko lang.

Anyway ssince na-buff nila again yun truck ko. Gusto ko sana dalhin sa Ziebart unit ko ipapa ZEE Glaze ko w/c cost P4k or yun much prefferred ko na Diamond Gloss w/c is P7k. Kc lapit na summer madami dito sa Cavite na puno ng mangga! Nagtutuluan mga dagta dito, bulaklak pa lang yun pano na kaya kung tagbunga na. Papasok pa lang ng gate ng bakyard left and right mango tree.

Say nyo? ipapa-diamong Gloss ko ba or wash and wax na lang? Glaciel White po kc color ng unit ko, then after summer rainy na. Kung ipapa-diamond Gloss ko water lang at punas ok na cya. Advice naman po sa mga nakasubok na at sa nakakaalam.

do they spray the diamond gloss/ zee glaze on b like a paint or just rub it in?? kung pinpahahid lang yun its just like puting on a carnauba wax on your car which and your paying alot of money for those two.. matibay naman mag paints ngaun, it could withstand those dagta or juices from the trees... i suggest you should have it waxed nalang. wax also protects your car narin.. dahil sa experience ko, i just keep on waxing my car those tree sap or dagta just wont stick that much and madali lang tanggalin...

-what can you say about the noise??
-any thoughts on having h.i.d lights with regards to its safety? delikadu daw kc masyadong maliwanag.. i was thinking on having normal lights pag naka dim tapos hid lgihts pag bright tapos mamatay ung dim lights is that possible?
-any thoughts on having a super black tint 3m medium black sa harap ofcourse?
-how much would it cost for a bigger and better mags with thicker tires?? more or less..
-without any bias what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of dmax compared to navara hilux explorer and the ford ranger.. (strada is not on the list because i didnt even consider having it, not my type)

why not make the fog lamps HID instead?

3M super black is good if you have good eyesight ... sa gabi, kahit ng 3M pa yan, medyo madilim pa rin. if you just don't want to be seen lang naman, why not use the magic tint series instead (eto yung parang mirror).

big tires - last year, the stock 245R17 na bridgestone was around 5000-6000, yung bigger tire version nito na tulad ng sa Patrol 265R17 ay 8000 up.

if you change the rims, that another story... 15 inch rims dati average 25000 for a set of 4.

have driven a hilux, yung 4x4 na A/T ng hilux... it can easily beat my 2004 dmax. ewan ko kung yung iteq engine is any faster.

ranger na 3.0, walang kwenta in my opinion... belt drive pa rin ang timing nito...naputulan yung isang service ng office na kinukunsultahan ko....mahigit P50,000 ang inabot ng repairs.

Can you guys give me some rough estimate on how much wil it cost me on this accessories?

1. Bed Liner
2. Hood Guard
3. Window Visor (i dont really know whats its real name)
4. Roller up

I already askd the "casa" but it seems that their price is a kinda high.

Congratulations on your Dmax and welcome to Tsikot. For your queries:

The noise - As compared to other pickups, I could really say the Dmax is the noisiest. Sometimes I would think that there is something wrong with the engine due to that loud clunking sound especially when I arrived at an unholy hour. It is even noisier than my 10 year old pickup truck.

HID - I couldn't give an insight into this since I am not into putting HIDs. The stock headlight and fog lamps are already enough for me.

Super black tints - With mine, I am just using what the dealer gave me. I don't like those super black tints since it is so hard to see. I agree with wildthing, just use those magic tints. That is what I have in my other car.

Mags and tires - I am clueless.

Comparo between trucks - Hilux, Navara, Explorer and Ranger are all good trucks. It all boils down to the taste of the person. There are ups and downs to every truck as there is no such thing as perfect truck. When it comes to speed, I have only tried it with the Hilux when I was in NLEX. I was already cruising at around 160+ kph and he overtook me, it was a 4x4 by the way and mine is a DDI Iteq 4x2. The thing is he couldn't run away from me either. My other relative has also a 4x4 Hilux, when it comes to the ride and comfort, I don't really feel the difference with the Dmax. For the Explorer, for sure you will have a hard time catching up with this since it is gas. For sure when it comes to what it should suppose to do, they are all the same. In the end, Dmax was the one that caught my taste and everything that I want in a truck, I found it in Dmax.

Wow! Another Dmax owner. Congratulation and welcome to Tsikot.

First of all, don't ask your dealer with those. For sure their prices cost more. Try going to Banawe and ask those shops there for quotes. You could try going to Carryboy, Ride Inc., Goldcars just to name a few. With mine, I got everything from Carryboy.

Try back reading this thread and you might get some answers.

Aren't all the new release D-Max models come with Projector Headlamps? That means that no probs as far as glare is concerned. My close friend who has a 2008 LS has H.I.Ds to go with his projector lamps - near perfect naman ang light projection. No offensive glare.
