Mukhang ok na yan. We are paying 2.1k a month for PLDT line plus DSL pero halos samd lang tayo ng speed.

It's true a lower ping is the biggest factor for online gaming. But, it still helps to have good download speeds. Most home Internet subscriptions have more than one user. While we were at my uncle's place, my nephew would get intermittent lag while gaming whenever my uncle watched on Netflix. Add my and my family's electronics plus those from a couple of other families and the result is probably my uncle's Internet connection being saturated.

They were all also on WiFi. I was savvy enough to bring an Ethernet cable with me for my laptop.

In the case of multiple users, then yes I agree with you. I was simply pointing out that latency is the biggest factor for online gaming. If the connection is saturated, it goes without saying that everything suffers including latency.

For those subscribed to DSL lines, have you guys experienced high pings and latency issues due to the recent cable cut in HK?

For Fibers, did or experiencing low DL and UL speed from the promised subscription speed?

I have PLDT DSL(no fiber avail yet)and getting consistent ping from 90~200ms

    Just a moment...

Some Aussies experience it too as per news?

NOTE: Di po Telco subscribers on Globe and Smart.

Share your experiences and your ISP. hehe

PLDT DSL subscriber here (10Mbps plan), all seems normal. No slowdown experienced these past few days.
